August 7, 200916 yr I know that fly fishing is the fastest xp in f2p, but a change of scenery is always nice. I was wondering which is faster xp at my level: caging or harpooning?
August 7, 200916 yr Author I think caging is always faster. Thanks, I assume the money is also better?

And it's the same principle for why caging is also better for experience: constant good experience rather than a chance at getting higher swordy experience, but ending up with more of the low tuna experience. Pretty much the same as these guys said. Swordfish and Tuna are more of a gamble, since you'll always catch both types of fish regardless of level you always risk different amounts of xp. You could get a lot of xp per hour if you catch more Swordfish, or a lower amount per hour if you catch more Tuna. For fast steady xp I'd definitely go with Lobsters. Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.

What if you catch the basically the same amount of both? That would mean you would average the same xp per load as lobsters. Basically, in the long run do you get more loads of swordfish/tuna or lobsters?

You rarely get more swordfish than tuna, and you don't fill your inventory fast enough to make harpooning better than caging.
