Even if they don't destroy the lives of thoose idiots, having all your friends on facebook watching you do such a coward stupid thing can cause a lot of trouble. 4chan is not powerful. Most that is going to happen is he gets harrassed for a couple weeks until they get bored. Like what happened with that Cheyenne chick that roasted a kitten. War for a week, bored the next. And honestly most /b/tards would be indifferent to this, it's only the moral[bleep] minority that would even raise an eyebrow. As for the law, it's not going to do a thing, if it really took place in 1984 any legal action that could have been taken has long since pased the statute of limitations, nobody can be prosecuted for anything that happened on that video. The police are now involved and looking to press charges.

If he died, sure there will be charges, but I seriously doubt anybody would convict themselves of first degree murder like that, so it's reasonable to assume the guy lived. And if he lived, there's nothing the law can do, unless there's some minor laws that he broke releasing the video.

Because it pisses them off that people aren't skirting around basic reality, and they can't handle facing their own problems so they want others to use more "correct" terms. Think of it this way... homosexual people are also referred to as "gay" persons. Gay marriage, gay rights, you get the idea. Now take the word "gay," and put it in a different context. "Wow your logic here is gay," "school is so gay," etc, etc. "Gay" is a term that is otherwise inoffensive, unless it's used in a derogatory context. The same can be said for being mentally [developmentally delayed]ed, it IS a term used to describe someone who is mentally unstable, unless of course I said "wow your logic is absolutely [developmentally delayed]ed," then I'm just being offensive.
