August 25, 200916 yr Fire cape is a more offensive option, as opposed to the defensive uses of a skillcape. It depends what you are doing. I personally would go for the firecape to speed up combat, but if you want the extra defense (translates to less healing), then go with the skill.

August 25, 200916 yr Like he said, the skillcape has a better prayer bonus when its trimmed, but thats it. You can also argue the +1 boost you get when you activate it, but thats pretty moot because you probably use super sets.
August 25, 200916 yr Personally i've never used any of my trimmed skillcapes in combat. In non prayer situations, fire cape beats skillcape by far, as it has better stats in everything except prayer (which is +4 compared to fire capes +2). And even in situations where prayer is needed, i find the extra +2 prayer not worth sacrificing +1 attack bonus, and +4 str bonus. Want to be my friend?
