Noob_Sammich
I was looking at the stats between a normal strength, glory and a fury ammy. What makes the fury ammy so much better and more expensive than a glory ammy when theyre almost alike? I think fury ammys are a waste. What do you think? It just goes to show that, though there's an age requirement, there's no IQ requirement to play RS.Wait, my friend said he got a keylogger and lyke he coudln't type, so I assumed it messed up his hands? Judobreaker
It's better as it has 2 more strength and prayer bonus and 7 more in every defence stat. The reason it's expensive is cause it's not that common, if it were very common it would probably drop a lot in price. You could see it as being a luxury item, you could live without but it is very nice to have. :D My guide: Ring of Wealth explained 8 Dragon Boots (885 kills, 1/111, with RoW)

AnthonyWL
As soon as you can afford a Fury i would suggest buying one. The Fury has a great defence bonus (for an amulet) decent strength bonus and good prayer bonus. I only use Glories and Strength nowadays for F2P and Transportation. 99 Fishing | 99 Cooking | 99 Woodcutting | | 99 Herblore | 99 Prayer | | 99 Runecrafting | 99 Fletching | 99 Hitpoints | 99 Range |Youtube: AnthonyOnRS. ultimatballr
Personally I believe the Fury is right up there as one of those "need to have" items. Like the whip, it is the best item in the game of its kind and it is not very expensive either. Do the bonuses constitute the price, I would have to say indefinitely. Unlike the Zerker ring where you get a str bonus over a Warrior ring but for nearly 10 times the price. Apparently, my signature was to big. Sinkhan
Best ammy in the game, end of topic. Well the Elysian SS is probably the best shield in the game, but you don't see everyone rushing towards to get it. If there's a cheaper alternative that sacrifices little, I say go for that instead unless you really have the money to blow. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

The cost of a fury is hardly anything in today's rs and in the long run it will pay itself back so you're not reallying "blowing" money on it. Disregard females. Acquire currency. Noob_Sammich
Well I'm certainly working my fair share to pay for the ammy, but the way I see it is if it is as good as people say it is, why not get it? If I truely dont like it, I'll just be that much richer and I can go back to using a strength ammy when training. Another question: Do I have to do all of RFD to get Dragon Gloves because I don't want to attempt the final fight just yet. I'll settle with Dragon gloves and I can always finish the question later to get the Barrows gloves. Noob_Sammich
I think I'll do everything up to the last fights and do a little research on how to do it without putting myself in a corner. The cost of a fury is hardly anything in today's rs and in the long run it will pay itself back so you're not reallying "blowing" money on it. Granted my example was an overwhelming exaggeration, my point is that if there's a much cheaper alternative and you're not sacrificing a great deal, go for the cheaper option unless you can really afford it. 3 million is still a considerable amount for low to mid-leveled players or those who don't have much to begin with. The +2 pray and strength along with the +12 defence doesn't justify getting it over a glory, which is considerably less, unless you have sufficient funds. On top of that, you risk losing a lot less if you were to die with the item. The +12 defence lowers the amount of food you'll need over time; it doesn't do much to prevent KOs. Perhaps a better comparison would be the D med and the rune full. Noob_Sammich
Or just answer this: what else could I buy with 3m to help my character. I've already got all my armor and weapons (although I can do with a shield change; I'm still using an obby shield/rune def). Thats why I was looking at the fury ammy because I planned on getting Dragon gloves instead of a Berserker Ring, which I view as a total waste. TheKoolKandy
I would suggest getting a fury but to wait a bit because its going up right now and I know it will crash eventually so don't buy it just yet if you care about your money, if not knock yourself out. Noob_Sammich
Yeah I noticed the fury has steadily been going up. I dont mind throwing around an extra 200 or 300k. TheKoolKandy
It might now be an extra 200k or 300k because it COULD not saying it will but it could go all the way back down to what it was before around 2m or less. Troacctid
The D med is a poor example as well as the difference in cost is only 40k gp. The rune defender is the best shield for training anyway, so you don't really need to upgrade that. Fury seems like a good thing to get, although I might earn some more cash first to have some more left over after you buy it. Maybe spend some on herb seeds or something. You could also use it to train your prayer--that would arguably be more effective, depending on your prayer level right now. Sinkhan
The D med is a poor example as well as the difference in cost is only 40k gp. I'm not looking at the actual price difference. I'm looking at how many times more expensive item x is than item y and then comparing their stats. The D med is roughly 3x more than a rune full, but barely 10% better overall. Of course, this isn't quite the case with weapons. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

Sinkhan
#-o Sorry about that. Other than the fury, I'd use that money to invest in skills like already mentioned.
