rangeor
The fury's overrated but if you have the cash, you should get it. Just don't place it as your #1 priority.
Cptbaker08
The fury's overrated but if you have the cash, you should get it. Just don't place it as your #1 priority. Tbh, the Fury isn't overrated. It has the best stats for any Amulet. Even with the release of the Amulet of Ranging, most people will still choose the Fury over it. Now unless you can afford the 3rd Age Mage Amulet, it is also the best Magic Amulet. And it is the best for melee. I would buy it as soon as i can. It seems that it is going to go up a little more. And if it does drop, think of the money you would have made in the time it took to drop. It might be 3x as much as what you lost when you first bought it. Depends on what you do to make money. If you want to think of an overrated item, think about the DFS. I'll just leave it to that as that is something else all together and would be off topic. J35u5_M4
They give higher attack (Thus more accuracy) They're the 2nd best Mage Amulet in game (I think) They give more def They give prayer bonus (One of the main reasons) Epic good look

lcchs
I prefer glory as it can you to a bank, but if ur slaying most task take longer then half an hour so u can home tele to lumbby bank. Fury is a must even if ur not using it everywhere.
Guest
Or just answer this: what else could I buy with 3m to help my character. I've already got all my armor and weapons (although I can do with a shield change; I'm still using an obby shield/rune def). Thats why I was looking at the fury ammy because I planned on getting Dragon gloves instead of a Berserker Ring, which I view as a total waste. You do what you think is right. If you want a fury, get it. Still the best ammy stats and it looks pretty nice. I think you do have your heart set on one, so go with that. You can always sell if you're not happy with it and buy something else ;)
JoeDaStudd
Same reason people who have done legends will use obby cape, a small improvement is an improvement none the less. Fury is a pretty big leap from glory imo. perfetc
Same reason people who have done legends will use obby cape, a small improvement is an improvement none the less. Fury is a pretty big leap from glory imo. If you can't afford the obby cape by the time you have finished legends quest, your playing the wrong game. (I use "you" as a general term, not you as an individual). Obby cape has better stats and doesn't cost millions, so why would any body pick legends cape over obby cape? Other than vanity of course. People pick zerker ring over warrior ring even though zerker is 10 times as much and they do exactly the same thing just to different skills. TheKoolKandy
I choose a legends cape because I didn't want to spend an extra 200k for +2 defence bonus not out of vanity. Lap
I wear legends cape because if I die (as I often do), that's less of cost to me. Also, when I'm welfare pvping, legends cape is perfect. On topic: I'm glad I bought my fury a few days ago, with the new shop update, furies are skyrocketing in price. I'd say its very worth it. I was using a glory for a long time, until I could finally afford a fury + good armour. Now I'm never going back. It just has great overall stats, and I would not trade it for a range ammy ever. 45,657th to 99 Range 29/09/09 , 41,018th to 99 Mage 13/11/09__________________
Zaaps1
People pick zerker ring over warrior ring even though zerker is 10 times as much and they do exactly the same thing just to different skills. +4 strength is worth a lot more than +4 slash because higher attack isn't necessarily helpful, but higher strength always is. Think of it this way, if you are killing Dust devils, do you really need more accuracy? You already hit so often that +4 doesn't even make a difference. This is when +4 strength would be better. However, if it was something like a Mithril dragon, THEN they would be about equal, with the favor slightly tilted toward the warrior. ~It's Super Effective! lagatag
Fury is worth a lot because Onyx are a pain to get a hold of and it is the best overall amulet and if you look at other items that are somewhat rare and the best in their class, they are also worth a lot lot more than the second best items. Also, I got a fury for max before they jumped up over the past couple days. Woot. Think I'll keep it though, I don't expect it to fall back to previous prices unless Jagex makes it easier to get onyx.

If you want to think of an overrated item, think about the DFS. I'll just leave it to that as that is something else all together and would be off topic. Yes, it is definitely overrated. It's not that much different than the glory. +12 defensive stats, +2 strength and +2 prayer aren't going to make a huge difference. You're pretty much paying 240k for each extra defense point and 1.4 million for each strength/prayer point. However, when choosing a torag's platebody over a verac's brassard you're gaining 41 stab defence, 25 slash defence, 22 crush defence, and 51 range defence at the loss of 24 magic attack and 5 prayer. It's also 81k cheaper. I see the fury as a more expensive version of the dragon boots/rune boots comparison - 300k for 4 stab, slash and crush defence, 5 summoning defence (lol), and 2 strength points. It's just one of those things that aren't that noticeable but if you want the very best, you should get it. I just see the fury as one of those items where you should only get it if you have at least twice the amount of gold it's worth. It will only make a noticeable difference in the long run, as in saving you a few hours training towards 99 attack. For casual activities I prefer to use the glory, because of its teleports. And I agree with you on the overpricing of the DFS.
Bassy
I love my Fury! It's just such a necessity for Slayer, kind of like the Whip. For any serious Slayer, this is overall the best amulet to wear, so nobody should be bothered about ponying up some money to buy one if they're going to keep it for a long time.
