I remember not knowing who was a real player vs an npc. I asked a man for directions level 2 atlumbridge, chased him down too. lol! And wondered why he would not answer. People were trying to explain to me how to talk on public chat, Because i didn't know how to talk on rs. Made lots of fire and cook lots of shrimp. Got killed by a cow because, i didn't remember to eat the shrimp. I did not pick up feathers, wool, or cow hides cause no one told me what to do with it or that i should keep it. I think i died three times from attacking npc's. Figured out i could pick up the cow meat and chicken meat and burn a lot of it. By watching others. Someone gave me a steel scimmy and i could not weild it. did not know how to run from the rat on the east side at verrock. Got kill by the black mages on the south side walking on the side walk. just got my noob tush killed a lot.

I got angry because me and my friend started at the same time and he got to level 4 before me, and i was thinking "how many of these damn goblins must I kill to gain a level??" then i gave up for a few days and then that weekend I got to level 40 (this was on classic so this was a pretty good achievment for one weekend)

friend told me about it, watched him play for a while then decided to create my own account when i got back from partying (little wasted :roll: ).. so i typed my name wrong :| then the next morning i started playing.. (did tutorial island that night.. took me about 2 hours :shock: ) i loved all the nice colours of armour and my friend told me you could make them yourself by mining ores and smithing them..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

so i decided to go for 99 smithing and mining, got a pick started mining and smithing till i could make steel.. then mined around 1.5k iron and 3k coal.. took me a loooooong time, so i figured.. damn this sure [wagon] hell is gonna get me to 99 smithing (eventough i was only like 56 mining?)

 

 

 

boy whas i dissappointed it only got me to level 50+ :P

got stuck in lumbridge castle.

i remember mine i started in lumby and went out the gate then iwent to the general store and sold all my stuff to buy dome goblin mail thinking i could wear it then when i tryed to put it on i couldn't so i sold it back to the shop thinking that i wiould get all my money and then i could buy all my stuff back ...............

I remeber that I wouldn't leave lumby at all, i would shear sheep, and make it into balls of wool, intill I got 20. then I would goto the area where you start sheep shearer, and sell all of it for 2k. My friends started and they didn't go out of lumby either, and I thought my friends iron mace was awsome... Awsome days!

I wondered over to the draynor manor and completed my first quest: Ernest the Chicken. I was incredibly pround of my accomplishment.

Well, I started killing Goblins, and somehow found it incredibly exciting. Funny thing was, my real life friend introduced me to the game, and he was sending me messages. I didn't know how to reply, so I put Public Chat on Friends and tried that. No wonder I never got an answer...

It's funny, i remember the first day as if it was only the other day.

 

 

 

I started out in lumbie, my friend on msn introduced me to the game, he was waring full black armour and an adamite sword. I was amazed when he told me just his plate costs about 3500gps, I was amazed, as i sold my tinderbox and shrips to the general shop for about 5gps. Then we walked upto vardock, (I lost him and found myself in the place called Al-K), after being chased by scorpians i was examining camels for ages, i thought they were amazing, then i didn't know how to get out of the desert, you have the huge wall going straight up from lumbie, past chickens and cows to just below vardock. And you could only get through the gate with about 10gps i think it is, i only had 5, so spent a while getting lost.

 

 

 

I think about 4 month after that i have rune 2 hander, full mith (remember my first time in the wildy, i explored and got killed, lost the rune 2 handed (Was worth about 1.5m back then, so was alot of money), after that i decided to use my skills to make money, about 2year later on I bumped into the guy who introduced me to the game, he was level 88, myself 97ish and he wanted free stuff.....

 

 

 

Add-on, a iron dagger respawned in the goblin hut in lumbie, i kept taking this on the first few days till i had a fair amount of cash (was under few k) but seemed alot back then.soon found out smithing was the best way to make money as you could sell mitheral armour to other players at quiet a high price.

First day.. hummm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was about 8PM at my home and I did about anything; I tought I was gonna stop playing for sure.

 

 

 

I made the tutorial very fast, then got ranging ducks, and got killed by a goblin. I lost all my runes D:!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then I made the Cook's assistant's quest and asked a level 15(Yes I remember) cutting oaks(I was so happy to talk to a LEVEL 15 WAHHH!!!)

lol, I got owned by cows. yea I died there, and some rats killed me(I still have a grudge to this day) and I owned lots of chickens, but I did have to cook some chicken to get my health back up... those chickens are pretty hard to kill! lol

 

 

 

I thought I was lost when I found the cows. lol

 

 

 

and I got scared and ran FAAAR away when I saw somebody kill a lvl 2 man at lumbridge. I thought they were two players fighting.... I got lossed then too. I couldn't wait till I got full bronze!!! I didn't ever even dream that someday I would have rune... :P

all i remember was walking around, and killing those 2dimensional goblins, and i got a bronze hatchet, thought i was pretty cool, it wasn't until about a month of doing that and selling things to random gernal stores, that i finally understood what was going on

hell, my first day was sometime in december 2002, and i cant remember exactly what i did. i remember them graphics tho, i remember it all, even tho slightly hazily. i think i attacked rats and stuff, cooked meats, died alot. kept walking around in circles in the castle. then collected lots of iron daggers from the goblin hut and sold them to the general store. man, thems was the days. i miss classic :(.

It took me an hour to get out of turtorial island so that was my first day :(

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My second day would of been making bread (wewt) mining, and hanging around lumby.

Sigh, the good times where noobs were less common and newbs were everywhere.(newb is a new player, noob is an idiot) I distinctly rmember getting lost in Varrock and forgetting how to talk to NPCs (This was at least a year before tutorial island).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On another note, I just made 4 newbs have a much better first day a lot better (well at least still in their first week). I gave out 2 power amulets and 2 groups of 5k. I was in a really good mood.

my first account hmmm my friend started he was like a level 10, then he didnt play for a day i goto 10 in 1 day woot at goblin village... then ended up a 26 the next day he was like holyyyyyyyyy smokes u nerd... lol

On tutorial island, I discovered that the rats couldn't kill you! I was so proud of my findings.

 

 

 

After the island, I sold all my runes to the general store, for magic seemed too complicated for a noob like me. (2 of these runes, 1 of those runes, honestly)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I remember mining a lot. I made so many bronze bars then made those into swords which I sold to the sword shop in Varrock. I made over 1k and I was overjoyed at my riches. Then I quit for like 6 months and came back recently on a new character. Oh, how the time flies!

I remeber someone talk me he would give me bronze chain and some money (1k) for around 1k Wool balls so i went off to do it and gave up aroudn 500 wools and sold it for around 3k (i was screaming in joy) then i went north abit (Dranor Manor) and got completely lost :oops: saw spiders went eek! then i found falador and got lost in the park (oh yay i got lost in the small park woopie im really a noob) followed someone out and went fishing at karamja ahh good times

I don't remember my first day as a F2P, but I will always remember my first day as a paid member. I was only level 30 something, and I was in Catherby, looking for potatoes. I met this guy who not only took me to where potatoes were, but showed me around the area, took me to East Ardougne, and introduced me to another friend on RS. They gave me armor and weapons and really helped me get oriented in RS. I will never forget how nice they were and that really set the tone for the rest of my gaming experience. I always try to help others out, and I don't condone people making fun of others, by calling them "noobs" or whatever. Everyone starts out somewhere, and I like making the game more enjoyable for others =).
