Duplicate items?

A) Is duplicating items (that you could previously only have one of) against the rules? I haven't searched through the RSOF, but it seems iffy, at best.

 

 

 

B) Is it still possible?

 

 

 

C) How is it/was it done, exactly?

1) No, because they haven't removed "duped" ones (and probably wont)

 

2) JaGeX thinks they fixed with ... .isDestroyable(), but you still can dupe explorer's ring 3

 

3) Have item in your inventory, open the bank window, right-click the item and "drop".

Earlier i noticed that drop was an option and it said i couldn't drop this item or it just dropped it. I never did get a duped item so idk what you're talking about. But it is kind of pointless as if you lose the items you can just get it back for free.

Is the Explorer's ring the only thing still duplicatable?

 

 

 

Once dropped, how do you get multiples?

I just said though it won't let you drop the ring. Now unless it can only be dropped in Draynor bank, then it still worked. But i tried it in Shilo Bank and it said i couldn't drop this item.

Since you get no advantage other than convenience, it can't be abuse. It's like the ability to bring familiars into the GE. What possible advantage can you get? How does being able to do so give you an advantage over someone who did whatever they are doing at any other bank, then going to the GE to buy whatever supplies when their familiar runs out?

I was under the impression that the reason summoned familiars weren't allowed at the GE were graphical and game engine mechanic driven...not for advantage. I could be wrong, since pets are alllowed in, but perhaps they operate under different constraints (and indeed to a certain degree, they do).

It is exploiting in game error, bug, glitches for ones' own gain. However small that may be.

I think it's because it would cause an overload, but when people found a bug that allowed them to bypass it rule, they were not banned because it didn't grant them any advantage.

A few hours after the update they changed the destroyable items to non-droppable. I really don't see this as any abuse because having to constantly search for an item in your bank is riddiculous when having more then 1 gives no advantage whatsoever.

I was too late for the destroyables but I still got multiple god capes (dropped ones must be telegrabbed), kittens, and barbarian assault scroll (destroyable but you can still drop if for some reason). I also got a screenshot of an 'unidentified liquid' on the floor.

I'm about 90% sure you lose all barbarian assault items when you die. Lost a fighter hat while trying a few months ago. Possibly been changed, be great if anyone could confirm.

Jagex fixed this ages ago, BA items disappear on death.
