Crafting questions!

I have a few questions about crafting, as i want it 99 ( i know im very far off.) For each method could you also list the cost.

1. What is the normal method for 99?

2. What is the quickest method?

3. What is the cheapest method?

4. Do Stealing Creation needles match the time wasted getting them?

Thanks for spending your time to help me!

1. What is the normal method for 99?

Green d'hide bodies with SC needles, with air battlestaffs on the side (always buy your staffs from zaff with varrock amour!!)

2. What is the quickest method?

Making the best dragonhide armour you can

3. What is the cheapest method?

Superglass make is a fantastic way of doing it. 40k mage exp/hr, and 70k crafting exp/hr - you need 77 magic and lunar magics though. When i did it i made a profit, and i'm sure you'll be able to at least break even.

4. Do Stealing Creation needles match the time wasted getting them?

Not sure if i'm honest, people have mixed opinions

Depends. If time's no concern, then we can do the math.

Assuming 4 tools per hour:

Each tool is good for 44k xp, 22k of that is free (roughly).

So an hour of SC gives 88k free XP. That's 1353 hides worth, or (tanned) 2700k/hr or (untanned) 2300k/hr. But keep in mind that we can SELL 1353 hides worth of bodies for 2074k. That means a true savings of 626k/hr tanned or only 226k an hour untanned. If you can make more that in an hour, then they're worth it.

If time IS a concern (as it is for me), I say no. I don't have the time to spend playing SC, for crafting. I do however have the cash to burn.

Just to clarify, Superglass Make can make up to 700k gp per hour at times, but usually hangs around 500-600k. This is also assuming you get about 550 casts p/hr.

Indeed. Superglass is a good and cheap way to train crafting :)

Generally speaking, the SC needle is not worth it.

A tip if you chose dragonhides:

The best way to maximize xp AND save money is to tan your hides in Canafis (33% faster than the next best tanner, so it's worth the extra cost) then craft the d hides as you walk back to the bank. Then you bank your dhide bodies and withdraw more dhides, run back to the tanner, and start the process over.

You can run and craft?

Yes, but since you can walk and craft and still get to the bank in time, it's better that you walk back so you save energy. Doing so means you never need to drink super energies.

I heard stuff about not being able to run + pot up after Runetek5, this might apply to crafting as well. I know with Runetek4 you were able to, but check this before you go off and do this method. It's a very cost effective one.

You can walk, but hold control and click to "run" to the tannery, and then tan your hides, and craft as you walk.

Not sure if it works with the latest update.

SC needles are and are not worth it, like I said, it depends on how much you do or can make in an hour.

I dont need a siggy no moar.
