From level 57 to almost 73 fishing, I've noticed that even WITH the fishing colony quest, which I can't do, there is asolutely nothing new to fish between 62-76 fishing! I'm starting to get a little tired of just fishing swordies and tunas, and while it's certainly not impossible, I can already tell you that gaining the xp from 73 to 76 will not be a fun experience. I just wish that there were a few extra new catches to fill that gap.

Lava eels are pretty good xp.

Lol 73 - 76 fishing is easy, I did it on sharks with admiral pie pretty quickly, so I'm sure you can do it faster on lobs or swordies.

Yep, the great gap in just about every gathering skill.

Yeah i have noticed it too. It almost makes me want to quit fishing...

 

 

 

At least with woodcutting you can do some interesting things with the logs. Fletching, Firemaking, pyre ships... all these make for fun things to do with woodcutting other than the usual selling but with fishing it seems that the only thing people do nowadays is sell to people who want their skill cape of cooking. I cook almost all the fish I catch but thats me and I only fish when i am low on food before some fighting now.

You're going to be heavily disappointed when you get to 76 and you realize it takes a half hour to fish an inventory of shark at 76.

hum attack you have gs at 75 and 78 for pvp but then any lvl higher is done.... thats 21 lvls to ur twelve... also works with many other skills exceptions being smith summon and perhaps a few others...

Well, attack/str/def get remarkably better after every level, each level actually does something.

 

One fishing level will help you collect one shark every minute?

You think that's bad? I'm about to get 99 attack and I havn't gotten a new weapon to wield since 75.

okay if attack aint the best example... pray stops at 70 unless you want to max combat or perhaps make pray last a few seconds longer and its costs alot of money where fishing you will gain money no matter how you train (not including dropping methods)

 

 

 

also mining has gaps of 10 lvls+ throughout the whole skill and unless things have changed since i last trained it years ago 15 lvls from 70-85 and 85 being the last of it

I agree with skills having huge gaps and Jagex not filling them fast enough for my taste.

Yeah I know, I wish there had been more content while training those skills.

 

But also better training methods. The most efficient training methids are mostly mid level ones... teaks cuttings, barbarian fishing, granite mining...

I beg to differ. RuneScape's purpose: to have fun. Efficiency has little to do with that.

 

 

 

Fishing is good enough with monks if you ask me.. In any case I just interpred the skill as Jagex way to tell me to do my homework. I gain lots of cash, fishing and cooking xp simply by doing homework, which is fine.

 

 

 

Sure they could add more aspects to the skill, but fishing is one of those skills you can do while busy with other things too. :thumbup:

 

 

 

Also I disagree with the "mining gap". The point in mining is to get ores for smithing. Smithing is a very "filled" skill so to speak, and mining suffices just fine. Add star mining to that and you have yourself an awesome skill. :thumbsup:

It's fine the way it is. You don't need to have all these fancy new things to try out on a skill like fishing, since the ones that you do have are long-lasting.

Who cares about level gaps? The Xp gaps are far worse.
