Then...a corrupt dragon long. Or dragon b axe

But honestly, just use a rune scim, power ammy, strength pot, and pop on some prayers. Go fight some level 50 spiders and you'll pretty much be getting the best xp there is in F2P.

Pots depend on your strength level.

Please note that Cockroaches arent THAT far off of spiders depending on your combat level.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

77 strength 90 cb. Also anyone else feel free to post

on my lvl 99 account i experimented with the most popular areas. flesh crawlers were the best exp, at 518/min, so just over 30k/hour.

red spiders were also high, but i cant remember the exact values. flesh crawlers were easily the best though, and thats all i remember

^^Thanks. One of above posters said maybe 45 - 50 k at spiders, does that sound about right?

I had a friend over 95 all melee report around 50k xp about a year back, so for you maybe 40k. I dont know.

You cannot get above 40k xp/hr using a scimy, people love to exaggerate the exact rates that they get. Personally with my stats I havent got higher than 38k/hr.

I'm maxing at around 45k with 99/99/95 melee + str pots every 5 minutes. You could get higher I SUPPOSE with higher defense, but really, you won't even get 500xp more.

Look to my AoW f2p combat guide. Link in sig.

Expect 30k-35k+ xp/hr. As for str pots, 2-3 an inv, depends on how long you can camp there with one inv.

For super max, it is about; str ammy, zerker shield, pray flashing 15% str, with str pots, at giant spiders. Flashing the 10% prayer is much more practical.

For str pot numbers, if you are at giant spiders(I wouldn't) but about 4 should last you long enough. If at flesh crawlers 8-10. If you find you run out of food before pots of course bring 1 more food, and vise versa

At my stats, 4 str pots (potted after 5 minutes) and the rest anchovy pizzas lasts me a long time.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Scorpions in the SoS.

You can possibly get 30k-40k exp per hour there depending on your levels, and another plus is that no one trains there. :)

Also, make sure you attack one as they spawn, otherwise you won't get as much exp.

Here's the equipment for max possible exp:

-Full rune for armor with a rune berserker shield, although a rune kiteshield is close.

-Rune scimitar as the weapon, although rune longsword is close.

-Power amulet, although strength amulet is close.

-Rune gauntlets, although safety gloves are close.

-Fighting/fancy boots.

-Explorer's Ring 3.

-Team capes, although other capes are close.

For food:

-About 4 strength pots (all completely filled)

-The rest all anchovy pizzas.

For stats:

-About 80 attack/strength/defense.

Good luck on your melee training. :D

I did a test on the scorpions. In a crowded world, you can stand at the center and alternate between 2-3 spawns. However, on average they were a little worse (1k-2k less) than giant spiders, which remain the best option if you can find a world with less than 2-3 people in a room.
