evilgeneral4
Before anyone suggests the sawmill, i want to profit off this, and not just gain exp. I'm level 90wc and i want to know the fastest way for 99wc. Is it yews or magics? I'm thinking yews by catherby, because yews are faster than magics to begin with, and there are a lot more trees, unlike the nearby magic trees, theres only 3. Big_Stingman
I always thought it was Yews. Not 100% sure though.

EarthySun
Yews would be faster for experience, but Magics would net you more money in the end. However, if you want 99 Woodcutting, just get it and make money later. Yews and Magics are terrible way of making money compared to all the other options out there. You'll probably waste less time just going to the Sawmill or Ivy and training till 99, and then getting money from some other skill like combat or Runecrafting. Yews make about 100k/hour money-wise, and only 25k/hour experience at best. The Sawmill gives no money but 85k/hour experience. You'd spend more than three times as long for that 7.5m experience with Yews (and more time with Magics) and still not make a lot of money. So, basically Earthysun is Jesus's only son. Troacctid
Eucalyptus would beat either of them easily. Better profit, better xp. EarthySun is right, though, you're better off powertraining and earning money some other way. Eucs are pretty much better than Yews by a LOAD now, close bank too. I dont need a siggy no moar.

If it weren't for this suggestion I'd still be 90 Woodcutting chopping away at Yews, about to give up on ever getting 99. So do it. Seriously. Grab a duelling ring, teleport to MA and start chopping :) Good luck on 99 Woodcutting, its my second favourite 99 <3:

Kasper_Hvid
Unless you like wc very much and enjoy it, use the fastest method to go 99 wc and you will same a loooot of time. Use those time can easily earn your money back and gain xp in other skills. I saw many people regret that they cut Yews till 99 wc. Use your time wiser. Only time I am cutting yews are when I have to do something else irl and use wc as bonus.

Only time I am cutting yews are when I have to do something else irl and use wc as bonus.I got wc 99 mainly on yews (granted I was f2p for most that time), but I certainly do not regret it! If it's experience you're looking for, make sure you find yourself the occaisional Evil Tree, they're excellent experience, and pretty fun to do (don't forget to stock up on kidling to light the biggies!). Next to that, after doing an Evil Tree you'll have auto-banking magic for x number of minutes. Personally I use this time to powercut oaks. If it's speed you're looking for you can also do teaks (this will require you to light or drop logs). Eucalyptus is another option. Magic trees are the only trees I never liked cutting much, too slow in my opinion. You can also farm trees and harvest/plant new ones on farming runs for variety. This all said, you shouldn't grind for a 99: when you don't feel like cutting, just take a break from woodcutting. Of course that caused med to have wc 97 for 3 years, but you get the idea... Of course you could do it partially watching TV shows or doing homework on the side.. Or browsing forums. That's how I get through fishing. :D Tip.It Website Crew Leader[hide=Quotes]I love it how Jafje comes outa nowhere and answers my questionsHehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs. gorgoroth
Teaks arent too bad either. With the new Special Log you get, you can profit greatly from them. I make about 150k an hour (could be alot more). Also mahogany at your level should be much better option. The exp should be around 50k - 55k and the money should be aound 250k - 300k an hour. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
