Alksei
ive got a question about the dragon and rune hatchet. i am currently going for 99 wc, and intend on becoming a member when i reach 90. so now my question is, how much time will the d hatchet save me from 90-99 wc. further information: im doing it on yews. right now i am chopping west of lumbridge castle, i probably will change to edgville or some other better place when i become a member. swampjedi
I believe the advertised savings is 5-10%. Yews are what, 40k/hr? So 90 to 99 would be 8m xp? That's 200 hours, so you should cut 10-20 hours off that by getting a dragon hatchet. Your cost will be minimal since you'll probably resell it when you're done! In other words, buy it if you have the cash. My Goals and Achievements
Huge Noob
I would agree with Swamp, buy it if you have the money. You'll make back whatever you spend easily with the logs you'll cut.
JoeDaStudd
If your after just exp inferno is better as its less banking, of course you need 92 firemaking. JoeDaStudd
hes f2p atm and his only ranked skills are firemaking and WC so it would be a double whammy if he gets infero and goes p2p. There are much better trees, but the question is d axe worth it not which trees. Zaaps1
D axe is totally worth it, plus you can always sell it back when you are done. So effectively, you're cutting logs ~10-15% faster for free. ~It's Super Effective! stonewall337
1. Yes, it is worth it. 2. Cut eucs, less crowded, more trees, better gp/hour and xp/hour too. Jaffy1
Dragon hatchet is what I used to get to wc 99. I did most of it in F2p though, on yews in Rimmington (which I burnt at the spot). I don't know how crowded that stop is in F2p atm, but you might want to cut there. I can't accurately say how much time you'll save by using a dragon hatchet, but I do know it cuts faster than rune, it is a noticeble difference. As some stated you might wish to sell it after getting your 99, but personally I'm keeping mine; since woodcutting is a most useful skill (in for example farming). When you do become member, do your occaisional Evil Tree and farm trees as well. This should make it more enjoyable, and Evil Trees are good experience. Since I got my 99, Evil Trees and farming is where I get my wc xp still. If you decide not to, 100% on yews is your best alternative since you can use the logs for fletching (more profit than selling logs, and more experience, you might want to alc yew longbows you create if you have the levels to do so)! gorgoroth
To be honest if you are serious about getting 99 then Yews will become very boring ( you will see what i mean once you've done over 10k yews). If its exp + money you are after then you should go with Teak and switch to Mahogany at lvl 95. Anyway, to get back to your question. D Harchet IS worth it. Ive noticed a big difference in speed since i got mine. Oh also, if you feel like doing some AFk WC'ing then Ivy is your best friend. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
