Padding

Featured Replies

With the new forum it seems pretty much every table cell has some padding. The worst offenders are probably the forum index and thread view for the forums, but also sortof table headers. Any chance of the 8 pixel padding slapped around on them being reduced to 2 or 3?

I figured it was worth mentioning since with the exception of the theme that was likely aimed at mobiles all of them have the same padding "issue", I'd just rather not have to substitute the style sheet if I don't have to.

did the old forum have a mobile specific skin?

If it did, then I agree, that should be re-implemented as it is a great feature.

There already is one, as well as 2 other skins. The "Mobile" skin is "IP.Board Lo-Fi". There's a drop-down box at the bottom left corner of the forums where you can change the skins.

No, it didn't, but I found it worked quite well on mobile. This, not so much. That said, lo-fi does work pretty well on mobile.

it looked bloody horrible on my PSP, even the lo-fi version.

But it should be functional at least. I don't think they were aiming for attractive appearance.

it was barely functional, but I think thats more of a PSP problem than the site itself. Everything is balls in that PoS browser it has.

to be honest though. If they're gonna proritise things, I'd rather they make a nice proper skin before worrying about lo-fi skins.

I could browse TIF very easily on the old forums on my DSi. On these new ones, I can't even load the lo-fi version.

I'm probably the biggest hypocrite EVER, but,

You really spend too much time on TIF if you use your DSi to browse.. :P

I dont need a siggy no moar.

That horrible padding is one thing I intend to fix in any of my skins. And so much space is wasted with the forum category titles, when you minimize forum categories it adds up to like 400 pixels if you have like 5 minimized.

That would be lo-fi. I've found the lo-fi skin to be very useful when using the browser on my ipod.
