flypig
Hi Tipster! This has probably been asked before.. but does anyone know of the fastest Range XP/hr without chinning? My Range is 76 and frankly i read its not efficient to chin at this level.. But I just want to level to 85 Range in the shortest possible time.. My current Range setup is: Head: Archer HelmNeck: Ammy of RangingBody: Black d'hideLeg: Black d'chapFoot: Snakeskin bootHand: Barrows GloveCape: Ava AccummulatorRing: Ring of WealthWeapon: Rune Cbow with broad bolt / Steel KnivesShield: Zammy book Please tell me with the above setup, where and what can I range to get the fastest XP.. I'd appreciate any advice but am not looking at spending time in PC getting Void yet.. Many thanks in advance. :) If I am looking further, that's because I am standing on the shoulders of Giant..! Ambler
I would reccomend aviancies, and if yo uare any good at stealing creation, get one of the sacred clay armour pieces (I reccomend helm) and bring two per trip, and just base a setup that proveides protection from zammy, sara and armadyl minions, allowing you to attack what you want! without being piled! there are pleanty of guides on aviancys, just look them up! ^^My blog of EoC PvM, lols and Therapy.^^My livestream- Currently: Offline :(Offical Harpy Therapist of the Mad[hide=Lewtations]Barrows drops: Dharok's helm x2, Guthan's helm, Ahrim's top, Hood and skirt, Torag's hammers, Karils skirt, Karil's top, Torag's helm, Verac's skirt, Verac's Flail, Dharok's Platebody.Dag kings drops: Lost count! :wall:4k+ Glacors, 7 Ragefires, 4 Steadfasts, 4 Glaivens, 400+ shards![/hide]
Shelby_Polo
When I was 70 Ranged, getting 80, I trained at Bloodvelds the whole way; it was great exp as they have a good hitpoint:level ratio and can be safe-spotted. Good Luck getting 85. Suggest a poll for Tip.it - Here!
gorgoroth
Nah Aviansies wouldnt be good Exp at your level. It will be a decent 35k Exp an hour. At your level Aviansies would be more of a Money maker than method of Exp. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
JoeDaStudd
Cannon at ice trolls or wallaski's (there harder to get to but offer a nice amount of charms). Both are 60k/hour+ (I get about 80k/hour at ice trolls).Ice trolls should break even, wallaski should be a slight loss. RangingRoy
I'm a whisker away from 92 range, and I've never chinned. I think that generally, I've spent most my time (ESPECIALLY) at those levels at the fire giants in the waterfall. They are easy, fun, and plenty pay for the arrows. You'll make a nice profit. Avies even now, at my range level, arn't giving me more than 40k an hour xp, really. They are always so busy that there is no point. Great money though. Depending on your defence level, Ankou's are quite nice. There is a safe spot, but bones to peaches would suffice. The loot is reasonably good, and a lot of it is stackable, which means longer trips. They often arn't crowded anymore. Other than that advice, I can't give you too much. Like I said I've never efficiently levelled like power gamers. I've just done what I enjoyed. But 76 to 85 did go very quickly on fire giants for me.
flypig
Thanks for all the replies! Between posting on Tip.it, I went to range Bloodvelds, but i am struggling even to get 40k per hr there! Is this normal and am I doing something wrong? My setup is still the same as in my first post, except that I have switch to using Steel Knife instead.. Can someone advise if this is abnormal, or is Range Training meant to be this slow.. Many thanks! If I am looking further, that's because I am standing on the shoulders of Giant..!

Yeah, it's pretty slow if you don't chin or cannon. 40k an hour is probably about average, from my experience. An idea at the minute is possibly nuking the druid herb droppers in the edgeville dungeon. Not a fantastic rate of xp, but with the current herb prices increasing daily, it might make a lot of sense. Bloodvelds are good a bit later on, I think. High HP and low combat level is a good combination, combined with the fact that the drops just about pay for your arrows. Yaks with knives is meant to be very fast, but I've never used the method myself. I would reccomend broad bolts. They are about the same as mith/addy, and cost about 128 each on the GE. Cheap effective, but you need 55 slayer. They hit high and regular. I use them when I am fighting steel dragons even, and they are effective, but I am 92 range. bedman
Chinning is actually pretty decent at your lvl. Check my guide and the reply's (see my signature), there is someone reporting results when he was 78 ranged or so. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h! flypig
I was so desperate for xp that I range tank the bloodvelds!! OMG, that was so stupid.. :( Would it be better in terms of xp per hr if I cannon them? What would be the approximate cost going from 76 to 85..? Would it be cheaper than chinning? Zaaps1
Scarabites are to ranged what rock lobsters are to magic. While it is inferior to rock lobsters in regard to overall xp and charms, it DEFINITELY worth you giving it a shot. ~It's Super Effective!
