Gathering Charms

I need to get 2k crims. Wfs are out, what else can i do for them im currently camped at dust devils but hate it. Is there anyother ways?

Greater demons, Fire giants (for me)

Green drags? ( i always get a lot there)

Waterfiends are best economical way, so you should consider them. If not, try bursting rock lobsters if you have some money to burn/want some mage xp aswell. Other good ways are: Abyssal Demons, Black Demons, KBD, Dust Devil, and Slayer, if it's your kind of thing. (Not best in that order by the way)

You either gotta burst rock lobs or waterfiends

Greaters drop primarily crimsons. They're the second best melee monster for charms, next to waterfiends.

 

Melee: Waterfiends > Greaters > Dust Devils

Range: Cannon Scabarites > Cannon Wallies > Cannon Black Demons

Mage: Barrage Rock Lobsters > Burst Rock Lobsters

 

These are the only options worth using to get charms.

You can chin nechs I guess. That, waterfiends, and rock lobsters are the only viable way for charm collecting.

This is debatable.

 

Rock Lobsters, while costing ~1m/hour, come with 1 hour worth of HP xp AND 1 hour worth of magic xp. So in 1 hour of Rock Lobsters, you get double the sum xp compared to Waterfiends, an 1 of HP xp, and an hour of magic xp. In all, that's 4 hours of effort. For Waterfiends, all you get is ~30-45 minutes of strength xp, adding up to less than 2 hours of effort. Clearly, Rock Lobsters are the superior option. People who make roughly 500k or more per hour (which is what? Aviansies?) are better off at Rock Lobsters.

 

Cannoning Scarabites is also a very good method and is less risky (you are more likely to die, but you can easily return there in time, while if you die at Rock Lobsters you're screwed over, but at both places it's kinda hard to die if you know what you're doing.).

Chinning Nechs isn't that great of a way for just collect crimsons, unless on a task. Bladewing posted probably the best way to collect charms. If you have decent combat stats you could try using prayer and melee Black Demons instead of ranging, but probably not as good as cannoning.

It's actually near the same rate as waterfiends for crimsons, but I wouldn't consider it unless you were intending to chin for range xp in the first place.

 

Meleeing black demons is a waste of time. Greaters are better.
