laptop has no printscreen button!

It must have, just look around.. look at every button, since the buttons on a laptop are very small it most likely has been shortened to "prnt scrn" or something to that matter. but it is there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It also could be one of the seconday functions?.

on my laptop is says PrtSc and under that it says Sys Req and it is to the right of F12

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You really couldn't figure out that PrtSc = Print Screen.

And in the lucky case that your laptop happens to be a Macintosh, you are not supposed to have a print screen button. Come on...what a waste of buttons is that. One button for one function.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On mac:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

cmd + alt + 3 = screenshot

 

 

 

cmd + alt + ctrl + 3 = screenshot to clipboard

 

 

 

cmd + alt + 4 = screenshot (but gives you a selection tool to pick the are you want)

 

 

 

cmd + alt + ctrl + 4 = same to clipboard.

If you're a PC user then you should have some sort of Function key, normally blue. On some of you keys you'll have some blue text which (when holding down the function key) allows you to use those keys as the alternative function.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Best example, on Laptops you don't have a number pad. But in that general area, you do have the numbers as the alternative function.
