pulli23
Hi all, I'm looking for "decent" (more than 10 hp/inv spot) healing food which is also relatively cheap (pineapple pizzas suddenly turned to be +1.5k) First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Dare589
Well, I use Monkfish personally, they cost about 600 something each cooked, and heal 16hp. I use Guthan's set, however, so I rarely need food. Clickie the signature image for me blog. Vox populi, vox dei.
ultimatballr
How fast are you looking to heal? If you have the time Baskets of Strawberries (Strawberries(5) as they are known in-game) are only 421 gp per and heal 30 hp per basket. (5 strawberries per basket at 6 hp per fruit) If your in need of something faster than Lobbies are 365 and Monkfish are 606 both reasonable prices when you consider the other methods of healing you can use for slayer to save money on food. As well as the profits from slayer being able to pay for said food. Personally I still have 4k monks left over from training fishing and they have lasted me over a year. Using a bunyip and guthans has made my need for food nil when doing slayer. I only use food for boss hunting now which I rarely do. Apparently, my signature was to big. I'm using baskets already, however I find them a bit too much hassle to use.. Rainbow fish indeed look nice will check them out (though they heal a bit little in 1 inventory spot).. Is there some way I can get a list of ALL food? JoeDaStudd
tuna is better then rainbow fish last time I checked they are less then 100gp for 10hp. Its worth looking into pies as if you get the right one its a fair bit healing for very few gp. Bratmaster0
I recommend you to either get summoning up (for the void spinner) or the bunyip. it cost a few millions to get to 68 summoning for the bunyip but it is all worth it. Otherwise , you can always get cheap food such as cakes that can be bought from ardougne thieving stall or ge . They heal 12 hp each but has to be taken in 3 bites. It is a great alternative to lobsters and you can even use chocolate bars on the cake to turn it into a chocolate cake (it will heal 15) an other cheap alternative i sometime use is my enhanced excalibur. I know you need to do seers achivement diary but it the special attack restores 20 hp and gives a defense bonus wich is pretty efficient ;) 138 combat | 99 attack | 99 strength | 99 defense | 99 hitpoints | 99 prayer | 99 summoning | 2161 overall
Lets_3ekout
Bunyips provide some of the best hp/gp ratios available in game. Other than that, cakes are good if you can be bothered with the eating. Kebabs are incredibly cheap but inconsistent and pretty annoying to buy (not sure how many GE will give you). If you want something a little more practical while saving money, tuna are a great choice (currently under 100gp). If you don't want to pinch pennies so much, monkfish are still an excellent choice for almost everything. pulli23
Misses quite a bit :P.. For those interested, I've compiled a simple list:Google docs(Maybe I should post this -together with a buyability factor- in the tutorials forum?) Jug of wine of course is still the cheapest food -by far-, however it drops attack by 2, so it's not usefull for meleeing. (3.64 gp/hps)2nd cheapest food is -surprisingly- watermelon (slices). - Problem is you would need a knife. (7.33 gp/hp)Apple mush is a close 3rd, but healing 1 less than watermelon (on the other hand it's probably faster) -problem is I never heard of it before, so I doubt it's really buyable- (9 gp/hp)4th cheapest food is tuna, but it suffers from the low hp (10 hp/inventory spot, and also 10 hp/bite) (10.3 gp/hp) The first high-healing food -of 15- is "tangled toad's legs", at 23.50 gp/hp (compared to 3.64 gp/hp for wines)Also what's surprising is that rocktail is actually pretty cheap food:Cheaper than tuna potatos, manta rays and even see turtles (Ow and even than anchovy pizzas). Chocolate bombs are the most expensive food with 240.67 gp/hp Funny thing to note is that a bunyip -if healed "perfectly" for 44 mins (in total 44*4*2 = 352 hp) it still is more expensive than watermelons: it's 7.72 gp/hp.. First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. So you actually should go off the slices. With a bunyip you don't have to worry about eating the food yourself. Also some food might have low gp/hp costs, but it also heals a low amount. The bunyip gives a max of 352 hp like you said. Thats only 2-3k for a pouch. Very reasonable if you don't like having to eat. And you can't use a combat familiar every where. And if you do you can use a Fire/Ice/Moss Titan to help heal some. But it does cost a bit per scroll.
