Basically I want to know which bosses are good for maging?

Barrows brothers aren't really bosses.

Zilyana.

Rex with CoG, pretty much the best boss which you can solo mage and not have to worry about switching attack styles.

do tell, I myself was looking into the aspect of killing the gwd bosses with magic, didnt look into it too deeply tho.

No such thing as maging Ziliyana. It only works if you have hybrid gear with ice barrage + a godsword. You'd only barrage around 5 time to freeze zili so the rest of the team can kill her without having to run around. Other than that, no such thing. Monsters you can mage are, obviously, Rex, Tormented Demons if you hybrid range/melee with a partner, and metal dragons, if you count those as bosses.

Maging isn't really effective at Gwd, but could be done on Sara and Bandos.

But if the ice barrage can hit her, it means shes vulnerable to magic, right? And wouldn't that mean that one could mage her?

 

It would be best if sumondskull6 would reply himself, if he says one can mage Zilyana then I believe him.

I think maging Zilyana was a joke. You'd get raped by the range and melee mini as to even hit you need a massive magic bonus which means next to no range defense and very little melee defense.

The only mage which is good at GWD is B2P and lunar heal other, share potion and vegance.

Obviously that's not the best setup ever, but it does work. I'd use Seers (e), Arcane, and arma legs also, and my SGS, and a uni.

 

 

There are no guides on this method, because it's simply not well known. But all you do is barrage her until she's frozen, then shoot her with projectiles.

I've had mages on my sara teams with full ahrims + arcane and it takes them 10 something hits just to freeze zili once. Considering that, it's not worth it. It's obviously possible, just like barraging graador with range hybrid is possible, but it's not feasible. If you say it works good, I need to try it out. Would hand cannon work better?

Wouldnt void work better? It has some ranged defence, and you can switch to helm and have the best range offence.

It does work well, especially if you can manage a +140 mage offense, by using 3a hat/ammy and an arcane, I recommend trying it. :thumbup:
