Why don't you post it Hex? I'm not confortable with posting something I didn't write.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Funny thing is... nobody has really been agreeing with you at all. We've all just been giving really neutral comments, and you've just led yourself on.

If we are going to make a new hegemony, we discuss it first, and we wait until Empire is dead (If it does die, but I would like people to try it out.)

Plus, when you start threads, you tend to use your inherent original post powers to munchkin the hell out of the game. *Points to the arena thread*

Well you have...

Edit: you haven't posted at all apart from to complain.

Ross, read the rules of the hegemony, you can't do that.

Thank you.

My issue is not that I am stealing. It's that I don't entirely approve of all the rules myself, and wouldn't want to be stuck defending something I have no interest in defending.

Rules from Hegemony's past:

Nothing bad ever happens.

People can do whatever the hell they like, regardless of what the moderator or anyone else says.

There is a moderator who can force any decision, even bad ones.

I think that is basically the three rules from Hegemony...suiting the three styles of player:

'I play this game because I am bored so I just want to level up my civ'

'I play this game because I must own everyone and I can't do that playing by the rules'

'I play this game because it is fun, but everyone else is cheating.'

Because, Space or Earth, those seem to be the constants.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Hey guys. Question for you. Dont you just hate it when you write the equivalent of 2 pages worth of text for the new game, and it takes you almost 3 hours, then your memory stick decides to be a f**king [developmentally delayed] and corrupt every f**king file on itself.

Well, i do.

Can I start a real Hegemony game, for christ's sake?

Hopefully soon.

We should make a wiki, so every player has a place to keep their stats, such as army strengths and GDP. Then we wouldn't have to search through 20 pages of posts to find something.

EDIT- im off to play some Civ4. Ill be backk in an hour

People will never update their wikis though...and the people who do will say the people who don't don't get anything, so the people who don't won't to spite the people who do and the whole thing will become the focus of another massive argument which annoys everyone.

Its not that hard, it'd take them like 5 minutes about twice a week.

Hello and welcome to the fourth instalment of the hugely popular, Tip.It Hegemony; a text based strategy game. You are given the leadership of a country in which you can control and use it to compete with other countries. As the leader of your country you can research technologies and build armies in an attempt to outcompete other countries.

Current War Moderator: Who????

[hide=how to work out your money]
Once you have your planet you need to work out how much money you have to spend.
First you need to work out the average of what people earn in your country in US dollars; this will always start at $20000 and then increase as there is more education. This is called GDP per capita.
Then you need to work out your population, this will start at 10000000 and then increase every year, this will increase if you issue a condom ban or baby making campaigns but will usually just go up over time as your population increases.
GDP per capita*Population = your money. You will need to then work out how much money you have paid[/hide]

1. Instead of arguing to decide the winner of a battle a moderator is selected to decide who wins during these battles, they are not allowed to play
The moderator also decides events such as rebellion/strikes/work-increases/events based on how the people in the country would feel.
2. Research takes time and money
3. Two days = One year in the hegemony
4. No WMDs that leave fallout or causes damage to an area over a long time
5. No colonisation of diffrent planets

It contains all of the information that we discussed and just copied the rules off the other hegemonys.
