After the recent crash of the "Eye of Newt," I bought 110k of them at 40gp each. They are still dropping and I am wondering why... If anyone is a skilled mechent, and knows if it will go up or anything please post.

looking at the steep up and down slope of these, it looks like a merch clan was involved. If that's the case, maybe just wait until they finish dumping them? I can't see them dropping any lower than 25, but you never know.

They will not rise much if they do. The new boxes make it instant to buy 1000 eyes of newt.

I don't think they will rise in short term unless a merching clan intervene. The new box-update caused it fall, just like vial and vial of water. If you want to earn some money along with exp, grow some irit, make super att pot and sell them.

They'll never rise. You can buy them for 5gp at the shop in port sarim 1k at a time. I'm pretty sure it takes less than 10 minutes for them to restock to full, and I know for a fact that I can't use 1k newts before the shop restocks itself, and neither can anyone else. Considering that, newts are dead on the GE now.

In reality it had nothing to do with merchant clans, or very little. They started going up around the time the new herblore update was released. In an attempt to get levels up making super attack potions was one of the better ways. Since the shops sold little amount, or you had to bank a lot to get them, people were buying them max in the GE. Well after about a week or so they released the new boxed newts which gave herbalist an instant 1k eyes. With the release of them they made the prices drop and thus for a short period made then junk items. Same with empty vials and water filled vials.

Just wanted to add that's it's possible to get more than 1k Eyes of Newts daily on each account, if you have access to members. To answer your question, it's highly unlikely that there will be a price raise in eyes simply due to the high volume of newts and easy availability and access everyone has to them. Only way I see them rising is if Jagex tweaked the way they were sold and/or they create a new and desirable market for them.

Just a heads up its more then 1k you can buy. Theres a few other stores which sell the boxed versions. I remember getting about 2/3k of them the day they released the update.
