Y some items seem crashing?

I know most of the items r rising, and if jagex doesn't make any update for it, they are likely not going 2 crash. But I notice that some items like arma chest/skirts aren't rising for around 2 weeks already, some other items like gold ore, oak logs, rune are crashing, any1 know why?

 

Is it because of the coming new skills that everyone are waiting for? Just a normal price update? Or due to some recent updates? I really want to know why since I am going to buy some of them to train my skills.

While I'm no expert on the RuneScape economy, I would say just a normal update. From the updates that I've seen lately, there haven't been any that would DRAMATICALLY change prices, like the Temple of Senstein (sp) quest did for dragon bones, or the TzHaar shop update did for Furies. I think that it would just be a normal price update, and economic cycles going into a down cycle.

 

I doubt that it's people stocking up for the new skill, because we have absolutely zero information about it. At least with summoning, we had somewhat of an idea of what it was. This time, we're completely in the dark :)

 

At least that's my opinion. I still wouldn't buy Oak logs, because they seem to be rising still. (here). By looking at the graph, I'd think that gold will start going up again, because it's at the bottom of a cycle.

Gold ore cost is dropping becuase of the ancient cavern concentrated gold deposits make is really quick and easy to mine massive amounts of gold ore quickly. I can get 26 ore in about 2-4 mins 5mins to bank it repeat thousands of times by hundreds of players and that brings the cost of gold ore down. The other 2 things i think is just a result of the Jagex ending the lower cap on items and they are falling to real world prices of those items.

I dont think most items are rising. Lets say it this way, popular items are rising. If you want buy something to store your wealth, try expensive weapons like whip, gs or combat consumables.

Btw, if you expect something is going to drop, you should avoid buying the item but to keep a close eye on it everyday for signs of recovering.

If the item stays flat, either you wont get a trade or it worth buying for your current task.

 

Did oak and rune really crashed?? Runes looks pretty stable to be and oak... it is still the way to train construction.

 

Gold is crashing because of living rock like the guy above have said.

Oct7, Oct26 and Dec15 are the recent big dates that really shocked the market. Oct 7 herb update, almost everything else go crashing except herb and seeds go shocking. Oct 26, the pretty usless anti-76k measure which did nothing. Dec15, the more recent one, ancient curses and tzhaar changes make dragon bones and fury go up.
