Malgoradan Posted December 25, 2009 Share Posted December 25, 2009 I recently registered on to these fine forums, and I figured that since I have finally gotten around to it, I would ask something I have been wondering about for some time. Anyways, as of this posting, these are the prices for the various metal/slayer boots: Bronze Boots: 979Iron Boots: 13.7kSteel Boots: 211Black Boots: 236Mithril Boots: 912Adamant Boots: 2,052Rune Boots: 94.6kDragon Boots: 435.2k My question is why are the Iron (and to a lesser extent, the bronze) Boots so costly (comparatively speaking)? I am not complaining, as I greatly enjoy killing Cockatrices, so it gets me a fair bit of extra coin. I am mostly just curious as it makes no sense. They are the second weakest of the boots, and Cockatrices are slayed quite a bit, both as slayer tasks, and for their high frequency of Limpwurt Root drops, so it's not like they are that rare. I looked and the only thing they are used for is being worn. I thought they might be used as a 2nd in summoning, but they aren't. Can't think of something else that could attribute to the high price of these low level items. And since people tend to buy fast-needed items at max price, the price is ever increasing... Yeah this is probobly the biggest reason. it could also be that when new members come into the game they get them. but thats not a lot. Yeah I can't spell get over it! One time I was slaying the trices as well and someone came in asking for as many iron boots possible.
