I planted 2 curry trees last night and the other grew just well and I harvested it at 2 pm (So it was growing 16 hrs.) The other curry tree however doesnt grow. It has now been growing for over 20 hours. :s The guide says it grows approximately 14 hrs so whats wrong? Can it take that long?

I used supercompost and paid the farmer.

Probably a bug, report it. Are you able to dig up the current tree?

its not a bug. when you pay the farmer they heal the sick, this can how ever make the tree take as long as 36 hours to grow(personal experience)

 

not a bug just annoying.

Yes it asks "Are you sure you want to dig up this patch?" - "Yes I want to clear it for new crops - No, I want to leave as it is"

 

Anyway, I cleared the patch. :) (Grr I could have gotten 44 farm from that tree #-o )

Sometimes herbs also take 3 times the normal time to grow, I also had that once with my calquat which I couldn't harvest for over 2 days. I don't know if it's a bug, I know many people who reported it but Jagex has never fixed it, so I guess it has to be like this.

This is probably the case. Sometimes the tree will get diseased at it's second last cycle, get cured at the next tick, and then take some more time to grow to that final stage.

 

Also, tree growth times are only approximate. For fruit trees, it can deviate by up to 4-5 hours. Patience is a virtue :^_^:

As far as I know, when you pat the farmer he'll heal the plant when it gets diseased, so sometimes, when the tree is supposed to grow it does nothing because it got sick then healed.

 

Which is why the main page has an approximate of the time that it takes to grow, it can vary depending if the tree got sick.
