BCP and Tassets

I've been looking to buy a BCP and Tassets for ages now; however I've always put it off as "the price isn't right", "it'll drop soon", "hmm if I sell my dfs and use my 15m.... nah... I like my dfs" Kinda excuses :P So I was wondering whether people truly think it's worth the money...... Also what people think about the GE graphs, I've been keeping an eye on them for ages, and have been getting more and more annoyed that if I had had my 15m 180+ days ago I could have had both by now ;p So today I take a look and the BCP went down 1.2m today and the Tassets 1.1m (graphs - BCP Tassets) And looking at these graphs it makes for very interesting analysis...... Are they showing that BCP and Tassets are finally plummeting like prophescised when they started raising exorbitantly. Also money wise with my 15m i can increase it to 16.5 or so, then 20.5 selling my ZS, 22 selling my Torags body and legs, and then finally get 3m from my stockpiled slayer points...... Would this be worth doing to get the BCP?

They are verry nice to own, They do seem to be crashing atm though.So I wouldn't buy right now, maybe in a few days.

 

they offer a bit less defence bonus than Barrows, but they have a str bonus + prayer. and they look very nice too. :-P

Yeah it does help a little, I've always known about the less defence which is why I guess most people go around with a DFS (like myself), also less def wont really bother me as I have 99.

 

And if I waited a few days, what price would you say to buy at? I did that when DFS crashed to 15m and then somehow the GE didn't update that day, so I franticly sold alot of things so that when it did update the price to 17m I could buy it (something that I wouldn't really want to do again). And as far as selling things is concerned is a ZS really that useful anywhere other than WF's? And would slayer runes be a good thing to cash in now (I have about 3m worth to get), if so how many points to have left?

 

Also what could I pair the BCP or Tassets with? I've seen many people work with BCP and Veracs skirt yet many with Tassets and a Barrow body. So I'm at a loss as to which combo would be best or what'd be recommended.

I wouldn't listen to this. You never buy at the beginning of a crash, you buy at the end. LIke the first reply said, wait a couple of days to buy.

Yeah, just relax its not like its suddenly gonna sky rocket, tbh Bandos is overrated.

from the looks of the charts, I would probably try to buy about next weekend, +/- a few days

 

just watch what they're doing and keep an eye out for any straightenings of the line, usually indicates a rise, but there is a rare chance of a continious drop as well

I personnaly believe Bandos isnt very useful and money is better spent on training with prayers. But it looks cool

I wouldn't buy it if you don't have the bank for it. It's a luxury item, so get it when you have cash to spare.

I personally love Bandos' extra offence on most tasks, but it is quite expensive for what it does. As others have said, get it if you have extra cash. I believe that it's better than using the money for prayer potions and using piety, as Bandos can always be sold back when you're done with it for at least part of what you spent on it.

In my own opinion, they are worth it, but I would wait if I were you, they'll keep dropping for maybe a couple of days

I agree with this, especially on the tassets. The tassets in general are weaker than the chestplate when compared to similar equipment--they offer a smaller strength bonus and a greater drop in defense compared to the equivalent Barrows piece.

In my opinion, the strength bonus offered is not worth the price and defense bonus loss compared to barrows armor. I think that the money is better spent on prayer potions to constantly use piety or turmoil.

Right ok, so I'll keep looking then; Thanks for the advice. Would you recommend the BCP Veracs skirt combo then if I did get one? Also looking at the 180 day graph it seems like drops like this have happened before only for it to sky rocket again between a certain time - eg 26th Oct = major drop, 02 Nov = 22.5M

 

On a side note, is it really worth pietying slayer tasks? I'm now starting to get my attack and strength up from 75 and seem to be having no real problems with it when I superset; so is it really worth paying 13K a pot for something that'll only give me a little increase in my attack and strength? Also what'd be a good level to train prayer to?

Chest and tassets add total 6 strength together. That is like 1 maybe 2 damage total. This is very minimal. Piety and turmoil will add upwards of 10+ in some situations as well as adding significant increase in attack hitting very few 0s even on very high defense monsters. 10% str outhits bandos chest/tasset and thats dirt cheap. either option is superior

If you have the money, get 95 prayer instead of bandos (this is just my opinion). Turmoil is way better than piety and just the same cost of prayer pots :D
