So, I'm dead.

 

My stone spell failed to entrap anything.

 

My ice armour did nothing.

 

And, though I was on the defensive, I didn't manage a single block.

 

Either the dice hate me or Ross is having a bad day.

 

How much exp do I lose?

 

I choose to lose air, water, poleaxe, ice, and heal, that's 1.0 xp. Then take whatever of my 1.3 sound is required, and that's all I have except 2.5 geomancy.

 

Surprisingly lots of things that should kill you don't kill you, and then you die from a lot of silly things. Never assume that you die unless Ross says

 

You are dead.

So, I'm dead.

 

Did I say you died?

A Mimic ate me... either I'm dead in it's mouth, or you have a poor choice of words.

 

If I'm alive, I heal my wounds and drop down so I have a foot of stone over my head, with an air tunnel going to my mouth. I then use my stone-spike coffin again.

 

EDIT: The coffin is used ON THE MONSTERS. Not me. If I'm in the mimics mouth, I use aeromancy to blow it open and escape, then follow the actions i said.

Grim-

"Not that I can think of. Ever since that Ares bloke dissappeared, we've been looking for his report on the eastern lands. We think that he may have left it somewhere around the village he mentioned. If you could look for it, it'd be really helpful. Take this sketch of him, the locals might recognise it and help you."

The mages give you some tips. +.3 fire magic.

 

Umbra-

You shroud yourself in the darkness. There are no cups in this room. There are 3 doors leading away from it.

 

Earth-

You heal your hand. +.3 healing. You hit one with your axe, making it spit up Hakon.

 

Hakon-

You fail to do either.

 

Jen-

It's summoning, so nope.

You dispatch the crab to the road, but you quickly sense that it has been killed.

You use the feather and hover over the ground rather easily, before trying to crush an object. You make it a tiny bit smaller, but not much.

 

Rocco-

(Lucky or smart, either way)

The fireball hits an invisible barrier, and a magical explosion is triggered on it. You think that there is an invisible maze in the room.

 

Kirby-

"Always happy to help an aspiring young mage."

They show you some basic level fire magic. +.5 fire.

 

Nexaduro-

You are inside the mimic, and don't have space to cast.

I go for the 2nd door, and I creep to it and look through the key hole, listen to the door and try sense anything on the otherside.

[Earth]

*i try to make the other mimic spit up nex, then try to smash the living hell out of the mimics*

[Nexaduro]

Darnit.

 

I try to get the mouth open using any kind of magic (or strength), then do what I tried to do before.

[Grim_]

Hmm... Grim goes back to his lair and summons three stone targets which he destroys with light magic. He then starts charging a fire type attack.

Håkon smashes the mimic that ate him, proceeding to stab the last one with a mk bolt.

Jen attempts to create some vines that will follow her (sorta like Umbra's tentacles) using nature magic, then brings those and her bow and polemace searching for something to kill.

[Earth]

mather, i got you out of the mimic. look at the other rolls for gods sake.

Alright. While I'm at the tower, I'll train healing and nature magic. (If I can do that, if not, ignore that)

Then, I'll wander around a bit till I find a relatively safe area to pratice fire magic and archery, by lighting arrows on fire, and shooting them at targets. Oh, and I'll put the cloak I got last turn on, and see if it has any mysterious properties.

Umbra-

You sense and hear nothing behind the second door.

 

Earth-

You hit the mimic, breaking it's hinges and locking it shut. +.2 axes.

 

Nexaduro-

The mimic begins to open slowly, made a lot more difficult by the broken hinges. Although it will be easier to defeat now.

 

Grim-

You create three stone pillars and destroy them with light magic. +.2 light.

 

Hakon-

Rocks fall, you die. Lose 1.0 xp.

(Reason: Sick of you not reading rolls which are 1-2 lines above yours, especially since YOU'RE IN THE SAME ROOM, AND IT IS OBVIOUSLY RELEVANT TO YOU.

And it has happened before. About 5 times, to be exact.)

 

Rocco-

After some time, you manage to find a route through the maze, +1.0 intelligence.

 

Jen-

You create some vines which move, but they are still planted in the ground. You hunt around for a bit, before encountering an injured bear. +.2 nature.

 

Kirby-

You don the cloak, and suddenly feel a lot colder. You begin to realise that the cloak likely neutralises energy which hits you, to a limited extent.

You light some arrows on fire and shoot them. +.2 archery, +.2 fire.

[Earth]

mather... i warned you.

*i try to open the mimics mouth faster, then i smash the other mimic*

Umbra does the same to the other two

Grim summons some boulders in his training area and destroys them with light magic

[Nexaduro]

I put my staff out of the mimic's mouth so it can't close all the way, unleashing its resonance magic to shake the mimic and make it easier to open.

[Retech]

Jen looks around and if she doesn't find anything dangerous, she cuts the bear's throat, as to be humane. She dissects it and takes the fur. Afterwards, she takes out all the bones and returns to her home.

 

At her home, she attempts to create a skull sceptre using some of the bones, while using half of the rest of the bones in a bone spell to enchant the sceptre, hopefully giving it special bone enhancing properties.

 

Finally, she rests for a bit, before attempting to summon a wraith using the remaining bones, when she feels fully refreshed.

 

(Be back in 15 mins, which is why I put two bone spells in one post, because the second bone spell is for the time I'm gone)

Håkon returns and smashes the mimic that ate hiim.

(I had a reason and I edited the post, reason: I wanted to post quickly before hiding my htc so my father didn't see I use it this late.)

I'll continue to train fire, by shooting balls of fire at insects and small animals. I need some food, too! (And, i assume using a skill in basic combat would be more efficent?)

Rocco-

The pristine marble stairs do not appear to be trapped.

You reach a new floor. There is a large, inactive golem blocking the next set of stairs. On either side of the room is a switch.

 

Earth-

You flail spectacularly, but don't hit anything.

 

Umbra-

Through one of the doors, you hear two people talking, but you cannot make out the words.

The other is silent.

 

Grim-

You summon some boulders and destroy them, but you feel you have learnt all you can from that.

 

Nexaduro-

You break the mimic to pieces on the way out. +.1 sound.

 

Jen-

You kill the bear. You ruin the fur, but take the bones. You create a sceptre, but it has no special properties. You summon a minor wraith.

+.1 bone magic.

 

Hakon-

The mimic dies. +.2 blunt.

(Regardless, judgement has been given, and shall not be retraced.)

 

Kirby-

You assume correct. You have trouble hitting such small targets with arrows and fire, but it is good practise nonetheless. +.3 in both.

I cup my hands to make the sounds better.

[Grim_]

Hmm Grim attempts to enchant some gold ore with light magic and some gold ore with fire magic.

[Earth]

okay, now let me open up the chests to make sure there arent any more unwelcome suprises..

*i go to each chest, check it for traps, then open it, then leap away.*

Jen rests until she feels completely refreshed, then she attempts to create a snake vine which snakes in and out of the ground (so that it can move).

 

Afterwards, she heads out into the forest, hoping she comes into the twilight zone thing that Grim was in before, since she likes that storyline.

[Nexaduro]

Any mimics left, I impale with stone spikes. I then check the other chests, carefully checking for traps with sound magic. I form full ice armor around myself for protection.

 

EDIT: I also try to knock out Earth if he takes any staffs or stuff with sound magic.
