You manage to stop the blood flow, but you cannot heal the gouge. You try to stop the figure by jumping in front of him, where you are promptly hacked to pieces. Surprisingly, you are not dead. (Very bad roll on the first, and twenty on the saving throw)

You look through the address book, but all the Ivory mages have their names crossed out. Maybe it's because they're dead. You see the two Liches, a host of Liches that you do not know, and...Jen's sisters. The sisters seem to be at the very bottom, indicating they are new arrivals.

You manage to beat them back and scramble back onto land. It dawns on you that you are surrounded by hundreds of these monsters.

"We are not spirits of the dead! We are beings of other worlds. Why should we help you? We're quite content here."

 

You are burned when a fiery looking spirit accidentally passes by.

Unfortunately, the platform seems more secure, and you fail to burn through it.

I sigh, and begin looking for Jen's sisters, asking about offensive telepathy and a perma-heal spell. I tell them that I am assisting their sister in an epic quest of repentance, journeying through the underworld to confront the great Demon itself for Jen's sake. I say I need assistance in the form of magical tutoring to continue.

oh... [bleep].. thank you.. rocco, i cant do anything. i heal myself.

[Grim_]

(Well... [bleep]) Grim uses barrages of fireballs to beat them back and attempts to use the invincirope/grappling hook to pull himself out (use them to replace the other rope). If that fails he attempts to use the paddle to cast a fire blast.

If you are a spirit of another world I promise I can get you back and also make you more powerful then you are at the moment, able to create things like a god.

You somehow manage to find Jen's sisters, who are currently in the forest near Jen's former home. One of them is wearing a radiant white robe and a massive white staff with beautiful engravings, while the other is wearing a black platerobe of great magical value, and a polestaff with sharp points.

 

"Why should we help you? It's not like our sister deserves our help, or wants it. Besides, we have no expertise in magics of the mind. We are summoners, controller of spirits and great beings from other planes. Our quest is to remove the taint of necromancy from the land."

The shards that are destroyed are quickly replaced, making your attack futile. You manage to make a gaping hole in the center of the platform.

You manage to drive the skeletons away with your paddle, which releases all its stored power. The rumbling and roaring grows louder.

Grim climbs out of the water and attempts to put the invicirope with a grappling hook in the hole in the ceiling. If that fails he awaits whatever the rumbling might be charging a fire attack.

Oh, for heaven's sake... Do you know where I can find someone who can teach me such things? I would help you in exchange for your help, but Liches are a bit out of my league. One nearly killed me and my bar patrons while I was defending them from your sister. To be honest, I'm mostly helping her because I enjoy slaying demons and will no doubt find some worthwhile rewards. Her alignment quite honestly conflicts with mine.

You seem pretty lucky to be alive, and you don't think you can heal yourself anymore with your current experise.

You charge a fire attack, but strangely, it seems to fizzle out. The water begins to bubble.

"Well I suppose the best way to figure out telepathics would be to find some researchers that are studying it. To my knowledge, there is no way to use telepathics to hurt someone, without intense training. As for the healing spell, you could do it with only one life crystal. Tell ya what, I'll enchant one of them for you if you give me the other one."

[Earth]

GRIM!!! the paddle absorbs heat!! light is heat, so thats why the paddle was warm whe you found it! i throw more acid, and try to make the guy fall down the hole.

[Grim_]

Grim stores the paddle in hammerspace and summons a barrage of fireballs. He also prepares a fire attack. The attack consists of several hundred flying snakes made out of hellfire with cold fire fangs. They form a rapidly spinning sphere around the target and then use their fangs to inject liquid fire into the victim. The attack shall be known as Dance of the flame: type 1

[garden tool], hum. I suppose. That reminds me, I do believe that there are a few lifestones that I lent out that I could reclaim... Sure, take the lifestone. Oh, and do you have any idea how I could fix the infernal stress caused by these wings?

 

I then go to Earthsage's grotto...

The figure mends the hole, though it is still rather weak and can fall down AT ANY SECOND.

 

-Grim

 

The paddle doesn't seem to want to go into hammerspace. You have a feeling that the attack might be too complicated and it'll be hard to pull off, but you can still go ahead with it.

 

A serpants head emerges above the water and spits out a jet of water, putting out your fire charge and your fire balls.

 

-Nex

 

The robed sister steps forward and places her hand on your wings, moving one of the life stones to the center and removing the other life stone. Then she enchants the permanent healing spell.

 

"This should work for quite a while. You might have to get it renewed occasionally though. As for the stress, perhaps the wings need a redesign. Humans aren't designed to fly that way ya know."

 

The two sisters place the life stone on the ground, and hold hands above it. They chant some mystical phrases, and you are momentarily blinded by a burst of light. When you can see again, you see that the sisters have created a large golem with detached body parts, which seem to be connected by a mystical force. They begin heading walking to the east. You reach the entrance of Earth's grotto.

Before the gaping hole closes, you see many shards flying below.

Grim wraps the paddle up and then attempts to communicate with the snake. If that fails and it attacks he attempts to put out it's eyes with silver arrows.

[Nexaduro]

I try flying, and also attempt to figure out a more effective design for the wings (or possibly another flying apparatus). If the flying is significantly more difficult, I take Earth's life crystal (the one I gave him when I beat the golems) and use it to power the wings. I then fly/walk to Ikana and begin researching possible wing structures that would cause less stress.

The snake retreats back into the depths, before springing up really fast onto the island. You barely dodge its attack, but it now has twenty feet of its body coiled on the island.

You manage to severely burn the figure and Earth. The platform begins creaking really loudly, for some strange reason.

The flying seems much easier, and you manage to make it to Ikana. You feel sore, but the healing spell seems to have helped quite a bit. You figure out that you designed a good wing structure, but that maybe metal wings and humans aren't compatible.

You force the figure onto the patched hole, but you fall down with it. You begin brawling with the figure with your fists, but your clothes catch on fire. You hear a creaking sound.

Hehe, everyone but that one. You had to choose the Earth one. :)

i heal myself of burns, and then i watch to see what rocco is doing (just remembered that i have a -5 modifier.)

Grim attempts to put out its eyes with arrows. He attempts to hit it with a beam of hellfire as well. As he does this he dodges with aid from his teleportation ring.
