assassin_696
Hm, fav. lyricist (that's a word?) is Bob Dylan, so I'll just post up two song lyrics. How many roads must a man walk down Before you call him a man? Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail Before she sleeps in the sand? Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly Before they're forever banned? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind. How many times must a man look up Before he can see the sky? Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry? Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows That too many people have died? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind. How many years can a mountain exist Before it's washed to the sea? Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist Before they're allowed to be free? Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head, Pretending he just doesn't see? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind. I'm with you on that one, they are great lyrics. My favourite lyrics are Californication, by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Every line has a deep hidden meaning, seperate but all revolving around the same theme. Psychic spies from China Try to steal your minds elation Little girls from Sweden Dream of silver screen quotations And if you want these kind of dreams Its Californication Its the edge of the world And all of western civilization The sun may rise in the East At least it settles in the final location Its understood that Hollywood sells Californication Pay your surgeon very well To break the spell of aging Celebrity skin is this your chin Or is that war your waging First born unicorn Hard core soft porn Dream of Californication Dream of Californication Marry me girl be my fairy to the world Be my very own constellation A teenage bride with a baby inside Getting high on information And buy me a star on the boulevard Its Californication Space may be the final frontier But its made in a Hollywood basement Cobain can you hear the spheres Singing songs off station to station And Alderons not far away Its Californication Born and raised by those who praise Control of population everybodys been there and I dont mean on vacation Destruction leads to a very rough road But it also breeds creation And earthquakes are to a girls guitar Theyre just another good vibration And tidal waves couldnt save the world From Californication Pay your surgeon very well To break the spell of aging Sicker than the rest There is no test But this is what youre craving "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
Boogie
Five Iron Frenzy - On Distant Shores I have been scarred so deep by life and cold despair, and brittle bones were broken far beyond repair. I have leveled lies so deep, the truth may never find. And inside my faithless heart, I stole things never mine. If mercy falls upon the broken and the poor, Dear Father, I will see you, there on distant shores. I have toiled for countless years and ever felt the cost, and I've been burned by this world's cold, like leaves beneath the frost. On my knees I've crawled to You, bleeding myself dry. But the price of life is more, than I could ever buy. And off of the blocks, I was headstrong and proud, at the front of the line for the card-carrying, highbrowed. With both eyes fastened tight, yet unscarred from the fight. Running at full tilt, my sword pulled from its hilt. It's funny how these things can slip away, our frail deeds, the last will wave good-bye. It's funny how the hope will bleed away, the citadels we build and fortify. Good-Bye. Night came and I broke my stride, I swallowed hard, but never cried. When grace was easy to forget, I'd denounce the hypocrites, casting first stones, killing my own. You would unscale my blind eyes, and I stood battered, but more wise, fighting to accelerate, shaking free from crippling weight. With resilience unsurpassed, I clawed my way to You at last. And on my knees, I wept at Your feet, I finally believed, that You still loved me. Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make every new day seem so new. Yes, it's Christian, but I'm not religious so you * can buzz off :P. Those lyrics look amazing. KnightLite
Tupac - Changes Come on come on I see no changes wake up in the morning and I ask myself is life worth living should I blast myself? I'm tired of bein' poor and even worse I'm black my stomach hurts so I'm lookin' for a purse to snatch Cops give a damn about a negro pull the trigger kill a [racist term] he's a hero Give the crack to the kids who the hell cares one less hungry mouth on the welfare First ship 'em dope and let 'em deal the brothers give 'em guns step back watch 'em kill each other It's time to fight back that's what Huey said 2 shots in the dark now Huey's dead I got love for my brother but we can never go nowhere unless we share with each other We gotta start makin' changes learn to see me as a brother instead of 2 distant strangers and that's how it's supposed to be How can the devil take a brother if he's close to me? I'd love to go back to when we played as kids but things change, and that's the way it is Chorus: That's just the way it is Things'll never be the same That's just the way it is aww yeah (Repeat) -2- I see no changes all I see is racist faces misplaced hate makes disgrace to races We under I wonder what it takes to make this one better place, let's erase the wasted Take the evil out the people they'll be acting right 'cause both black and white is smokin' crack tonight and the only time we chill is when we kill each other it takes skill to be real, time to heal each other And although it seems heaven sent We ain't ready, to see a black President, uhh It ain't a secret don't conceal the fact the penitentiary's packed, and it's filled with blacks But some things will never change try to show another way but you stayin' in the dope game Now tell me what's a mother to do bein' real don't appeal to the brother in you You gotta operate the easy way I made a G today But you made it in a sleazy way sellin' crack to the kids. I gotta get paid, Well hey, that's the way it is Chorus: That's just the way it is Things'll never be the same That's just the way it is aww yeah (Repeat) Talking: We gotta make a change... It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live and let's change the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do what we gotta do, to survive. -3- And still I see no changes can't a brother get a little peace It's war on the streets and the war in the Middle East Instead of war on poverty they got a war on drugs so the police can bother me And I ain't never did a crime I ain't have to do But now I'm back with the blacks givin' it back to you Don't let 'em jack you up, back you up, crack you up and pimp smack you up You gotta learn to hold ya own ~they get~ jealous when they see ya with ya mobile phone But tell the cops they can't touch this I don't trust this when they try to rush I bust this That's the sound of my tool you say it ain't cool my mama didn't raise no fool And as long as I stay black I gotta stay strapped and I never get to lay back 'Cause I always got to worry 'bout the pay backs some buck that I roughed up way back comin' back after all these years rat-tat-tat-tat-tat that's the way it is uhh Chorus: That's just the way it is Things'll never be the same That's just the way it is aww yeah You're my brother, you're my sister That's just the way it is (way it is,way it is) Things will never be the same You're my brother, you're my sister That's the way it is Aww yeah Some things will never change - Only character in Runescape History maxed out in RSC and RS2

Hell, that's just the same song, but it's performed in such a way that Cash brings it to an entire new level of meaning. And (I'm so sorry for this ) Madonna's new song! :D Holy smeg, talk about catchy n cool! topham
probably my favourite lyrics at the moment are... either lovecats by the cure or comfortably numb by pink floyd. the cure - lovecats We move like cagey tigers We couldn't get closer than this The way we walk The way we talk The way we stalk The way we kiss We slip through the streets While everyone sleeps Getting bigger and sleeker And wider and brighter We bite and scratch and scream all night Let's go and Throw all the songs we know Into the sea You and me All these years and no one heard I'll show you in spring It's a treacherous thing We missed you hissed the lovecats We're so wonderfully wonderfully wonderfully Wonderfully pretty Oh you know that I'd do anything for you We should have each other to tea huh? We should have each other with cream Then curl up by the fire And sleep for awhile It's the grooviest thing It's the perfect dream Hand in hand Is the only way to land And always the right way round Not broken in pieces Like hated little meeces How could we miss Someone as dumb as this I love you ... let's go Oh ... solid gone ... How could we miss someone as dumb As this? pink floyd - comfortably numb Hello (Echo) Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me Is there anyone home? Come on, (Echo) now I hear you're feeling down Well I can ease your pain Get you on your feet again Relax (Echo) I need some information first Just the basic facts Can you show me where it hurts? There is no pain, you are receding A distant ship's smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin' When I was a child I had a fever My hands felt just like two balloons Now I got that feeling once again I can't explain, you would not understand This is not how I am I have become comfortably numb I have become comfortably numb Ok (Echo) Just a little pin[puncture] (pin droping sound) There'll be no more --Aaaaaahhhhh! But you may feel a little sick Can you stand up? (Echo) I do believe it's working Good That'll keep you going for the show Come on it's time to go There is no pain, you are receding A distant ship's smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin' When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown, the dream is gone I have become comfortably numb :D -Destroy Topham-
