r4ngewarlord
How long would it take to get 99 fishing from 40 fishing, if I was a member.I would start of fishing lobsters till 50 fishing then I would fish swordfish and tuna at level 50, and finally I would get 76-99 by fishing sharks at the fishing guild.I probably wont do swan song. Serpent Eye
I believe (don't quote me on it) that Monks are faster than swordies. Swan Song was actually really easy :)

Swan Song was actually really easy :) Sharks from 76 to 99 is an insane method to do..... Firstly Sharks take longer to fish, and secondly it's for less exp. Your best bet as said above by Serpy (and yus I am quoting you on it my lil crewbie) is monkfish. Swan Song is a really really easy quest for amazing benefits....... If you really want to do sharks though I'd advise you to fish to about 92 so you get half the fishing exp out the way and a nice little bit of money before you start fishing sharks. Good Luck! As for how long it would take I'd probably say about a good few months from your level. It also depends what you want from fishing - profit or cape...... If you want the cape then go for Barbarian Fishing and drop the fish; though the outpost is just a short run and you can make a bit of money from making mixes. The next best bet would be shilo. If you want it for profit then go for harpooning things until you can fish monkfish at about 66, then monkfish till 92 or so then sharks. Though monkfish till 99 is a very very quick and profitable method. r4ngewarlord
Sorry if I ddi'nt make this clear but I will be a skiller account so swan song is unavalible to me.Also it's a new account and I am mainly in this for the money. Sirus
If you're a skiller, than you'll have no strength for Heavy Barbarbarian. And will hardly be able to complete Shilo Village either. You're screwing yourself of your best fishing methods, so you might as well just stick to f2p and powerfish trout and salmon. ~Sirus Edited January 6, 2010 by Sirus Finally bought my whip. =D

Sirus
Yeah, I was just looking at the quest guide again. There's no combat requirements per se.~Sirus Finally bought my whip. =D
JoeDaStudd
You know fishing caps at about 40k/hour right? So exp from 46 to 99 /35,000 (rough average) is the amount of hours. I don't know the exp difference without looking up your stats but its a long time. qeltar
It depends entirely on what you want to fish, and that in turn depends on how much attention you want to pay while playing, and how much money you want to earn doing it. Grimy_Bunyip
even if you dont beat shilo, you can always use the rasolo/waterfall fly fishing method in p2p, and it is comparably efficient to the shilo spot
