Ok so i recently decided to get 99 def over 99 fletching since i like doing combat more than skilling. I was wondering which would be better to do Armored Zombies all the way to 99 or work on slayer as well as cb?

Here's my setup:

Helm: Neitiznot or Slayer helm(if i do slayer)

Ammy: Glory

Plate:Fighter Torso / Torags or dharoks platebody

Legs: Dharoks

Boots: Dragon

Gloves: Barrows

Cape: Cooking skillcape

Weapon: Whip

Shield: Rune Defender / Dragon sq

Ring: Wealth / Warrior

Slayer will be a lot more varied but will take a lot longer.

AZ are nice when you want to watch a film or the TV while occasionally looking at RS (every ~5 minutes with a prayer setup, ~3 minutes with a halfway decent non-prayer setup). Personally I would only do AZ if you need it ASAP.

  • Dragon Axe x11
    Berserker Ring x9
    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

Well at AZ, and since you are not in a rush, I would reconsider the bunyip. Training at AZ is free because of the praying method and altar just up the ladder.

So the bunyip can be a question.

Since you say that you aren't in a rush, just use slayer. More different tasks, although some tasks will come by you aren't going that fast.

If you want the AZ, I think the set-up is good. Keep in mind that they will be crowded at peak times.

mmm I think your a little confused.

The best method for AZ's is to use only piety (rapid heal if your low defense) with a decent prayer bonus (10+), tank the hits and let bunyip heal you.

You use next to no food (for emergencies) and only need to bank when you run out of bunyip pouches.

Protect melee is worthless as you have to recharge prayer a lot more and there are ranger ones so you would have to keep switching prayers as well as healing the first hit they do anyway.

Bunyip is about 2.1k for 360 hp (8*45) which is about as cheap as you can possibly get on gp/hp ratio.

Well here are the advantages of both methods, that I can think of anyway.

Slayer

+Charms for summoning.

+Variety in killing.

+You get Slayer xp, adds to total level etc.

+You can profit a lot later on.

+You usually profit.

Armoured Zombies

+Pretty consistent exp.

+Pretty fast exp.

+Consistent income, as opposed to slayer which can vary a lot between tasks.

+Doesn't require much attention.

+Only need one set of gear, where you need to mix and match in slayer.

I would go for slayer, but that's just because I'm crazy about having even stats.

only problem i have with slayer at the moment is that i have Black Demons and i only have 28 points so i cant cancel or block them and i always lose money on doing them. So whats a good method for killing them?

If money is the issue, d halberd or bone bolt or something them in taverley dungeon :-)

i tend to stay away from the chaos tunnels because i've been killed in there too many times and im very unfamiliar with them plus i dont know where the safespots hit and with it being multi cb i would probably get killed fairly fast.

Your choice I suppose.... Even though that sounds like a load of non-sense.

not everyone has complete knowledge of the chaos tunnels which makes it hard to navigate them unless you can pull up a map at the same time which i cant.

Bunyip is what, 3K? Use it.

SLAYER IS BETTER IMO.

More fun :P

Well i recently unlocked curses and it seems that i kill the black demons A LOT faster which in turn uses less p pots so should i just use the deflect melee curse and kill them that way?

You can do it that way, yes. Don't forget to use the super sets and since you're praying you don't need a familiar, unless you want to bring one that will help you profit.

I suggest though you try and get familiar with the CT as that is a great place to kill monsters. Some are easier to get to then others, but you only have to be careful when you go near the strong monsters or if you get random teleported between portals.
