A month or 2 in P2P - What to do in this time?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've only been playing about 6 weeks but a very long time ago was a member. Below are my stats and in a few months (possibly less) i'm looking to do a bit in P2P. But what should I do in this time? My current stats are:

Skill Level

Attack 40

Hitpoints 40

Mining 51

Strength 42

Smithing 45

Defence 42

Fishing 50

Ranged 20

Cooking 48

Prayer 30

Crafting 35

Firemaking 53

Magic 38

Woodcutting 50

Runecrafting 39

Before I go P2P I'm looking to have 60+ fishing, cooking, firemaking, woodcutting & probably 55+ mining. I've done all the f2p quests except black knights fortress and shield of arrav, and i've done the lumby achievements. As I won't stay P2P for a long time I won't be stocking up on other members only things or really too interested in P2P skills at the moment, though agility would be helpful back in F2P. My current ideas are:

-Fish a couple of thousand lobbies at catherby and cook them for some nice XP.

-Go to pest control and do some quick combat levelling

-Buy a dragon hatchet and train wc quickly, sell before i go f2p again

-Mine some coal at coal trucks for smelting + a nice ammount of profit.

All suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks.

Train agility up to level 50-70. I find it really helpful to have 77 agility.

How noticable is the difference between 1 and 60 agility? How much quicker does your energy restore? And is agility a quick or slow level to train?

If you're not doing P2P for very long, it might not be worth training agility as the effects don't carry over to F2P servers anymore.

I'd take advantage of all the superior money making methods, or even play some minigames to be perfectly honest.

The most asked question ever, but sorry;

For my skills (or proposed skills as in first post) what are the best P2P money making methods?

I would moneymake, or train skills that are much faster in p2p that are helpfull in f2p such as rc

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

Agility is pretty quick to train. And the difference between 1-60 is pretty noticeable. Also, as your agility gets higher you can take shortcuts around RS, agility is very useful to train.

"I am interested in anything about revolt, disorder, chaos-especially activity that seems to have no meaning"- Jim Morrison

stealing creation for some morphic tools to make picks, then mine mine mine while you have access to uncrowded mines.

Also recremend pushing through a few general mid range quests for experience.

I recommend doing activities that directly help you in f2p. To be more specific, those are skills that raise money and combat skills.

If it's only for one or 2 months, I'd use all the time I can to use the superior methods avaliable and train my F2P skills.

For example, doing all the required quests to use ectoplasm and up prayer to a reasonable level, 55~60 is VERY easy.

Other quests I recommend doing are ones that give a ton of exp and are relatively easy. There's another guide somewhere I believe which has a list.

I would also recommend training your combat skills a bit more, as you will find with skills less than 60, your members experience won't be nearly as enjoyable, as you'll be murdered by half the creatures that roam around. I at least recommend the minimum to wear a dragon spear, a reasonable dragon weapon without a quest requirement. If you wanna go one step further, have enough to get into the warriors guild, and give yourself a nice defender.

If you're looking to make quick cash, mining pure essence is ok, and bow stringing is nice if you're crafting level is not too high. Mining Guild also has a lot less competition on members world if you want to stick to that. If you're not interested in that, picking up blue dragon scales is ridiculously easy way to make money, abeit no exp.

I don't know how anyone would have thought to make a seagull launcher out of a shirt and an accordion for Rocking Out though... That just seems too out there

Well, I can recommend the Runescoop guide for moneymaking. That's a good place to start.

Other than that, training hard-to-level f2p skills is a great idea; prayer (to at least 43) and runecrafting (to at least 50) would be good places to start. You could get prayer to 43 just through quests if you wanted, although it would be faster just to buy dragon bones and use them on a gilded altar. Getting your ranged level up is easier in p2p as well, since you can use darts or knives instead of a maple bow.

Didn't they change it so that agility no longer counts in F2P? - Ah , missed the other answer, anyway, have a reference to be certain:

Ok so don't bother with that, unless you need it for your stint in P2P.

Minigames and going for clues, I guess.

Might want to build a small house (to level 42), then install a flatpack costume box to store random event sets that you do not want to drop (but you won't be able to get them back in F2P).

also, i believe that you only need a members item in your bank to mine pure ess, so leave something cheap there when you switch back to f2p (i may be wrong though)

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

Yeah you're wrong. You just need to be in a f2p world. (Members can still mine regular ess by going into a free world.)

Make some money, as it is alot easier to do in P2P compared to F2P, then waste all that cash playing mini games/pking

Your Sig... Is amazing... Please... I bow down to you... I seriously watched that thing go for like 10 minutes, lol. Epic

OT now... hmmmm... train range, atk, str, and def with pest control so you don't have to train it slowly in F2P.

Here's a good one: do easy ardy diary and mine iron at monestary and bank with ring of dueling.

Also collect bottles 1 day out of the month. And buy a Runescape card if you can. You may not want to go back to F2p after.

Try some of the skills out. That you have no access to. Since you will lose them. Like hunter. You can train combats any time.

Opthsis.png

may want to make your way to 50 runecrafting first, GOP some, and save the tickets. While you're on a member's world, they will get you pure essence.

And I'd say, plan yourself getting your way through the first penguin quest, and ignore tears of guthix. Tears will just fill out member's skills, but the penguin hunting can get you some good exp if you get it early enough to use it 7 times.

And yes, don't plan on the ectofunctus, it takes quite a bit of time to grind the bones, I'm only using it cause I have the ecto madness... gilded alter and picking up whiteberries in the time saved will be more than enough to make up for any extra expenditure.
