Why popular cb gears stop rising?

Before december, all popular armours like gwd, def, etc are rising alot. But since the mid of december, their price started becoming stable and at the begining of 2010, they even dropped a bit (ppl said due to new update and school starts), but why till now, they seems not rise that much compared to last year? Is there any reason for this?

I hear there is talk of new armors coming out soon. That may have a little bit of something to do. But remember this happens a lot. Things usually rise and fall and rise and fall. In a couple months i bet they will star rising yet again. Its just how the market is.

Some people think there is new armour comming up, so prices went down a little.

Also merch clans are ruining the economy. There are more merch clans now, I'm in one, just to get the hang of it, but it's a bit unfair. Buy in bulk (willow seeds now) and when prices go up dump them.

Maybe some of the cb gear was grabbed by merchclans, and are dumped now.

 

Well, if in a month or two Jagex hasn't confirmed a thing, or said a thing about new armour, prices will go up again.

Look at the graphs. The current trend is no different from trends that high level gear has been following the entire past year. Nothing special is happening because of the new year, updates, or whatever.

Perhaps most of the people with that sort of cash on hand have gotten them already, and more people are heading to gwd to get their own.

 

The market eventually reaches a saturation point for things like these.

Some armors/weapons are rising back up now, although I think this is mainly due to the new quests boss. Spectral SS, BGS and AGS are the 3 big ones I've noticed.

Laura pretty much answered your question. I personally belief that it is simply less people trading it in GE, you know when a market go bear, price frustrates less.

But nevertheless, keep items instead of cash for storing wealth is still worthwhile at the time, given that you can still lend gears for money and there is still a difference between rsof price and GE.

 

And for the recent quest... the items directly affect by this i'd say are BGS(rsof claim that it spec is good), Z spear(wiki say the boss is weak to stab and people belief that wiki IS the source of all knowledge) and ruby (e)/addy bolts.
