Curses at Fight Caves (new tokkul question)

Featured Replies

I figured what the heck, I might as well try it...so I did, I lost at Wave 47, but I had a decent number of sup restores left, so I figured I'd try again with more sara brews and less super restores. I'm not asking if I can do it...I'll figure that out for myself. What I am asking is is there any reason NOT to use Curses there? I went there the first time with curses, and the deflection helped out, but just out of curiosity, is there any reason to use prayers over curses?

EDIT: (this is posted lower too, just for ease, it's here as well) Is there an average of how long it'd take to get the 2.7m tokkul for an onyx?

I hear there is some sort of delay so when fighting Jad that can get you killed. Also the animation to deflecting might prevent you from switching and end up also getting you killed. Idk though as i don't have the much experience with switching curses.

Only reason I could think of is that the animation for deflection lags sometimes, I'm not sure why only sometimes. When I run from the trollheim teleport to god wars dungeon and use deflect range, it lags alot half the time, sometimes my character just runs through fine as though its a normal range prayer. So if the animation makes you a little laggy, then do not use curses at Jad. Otherwise, I see no reason why not.

I've never prayer switched before until Fight Caves, and I noticed that too, if I heard the mage sound from the 360, I'd switch mage before I got hit, but I'd still get hit...I just thought that was with prayers too, so I'll try again with prayers this time.

I haven't had troubles with the animation interfering with combat, just running. The animations, although cool, can be quite a nuisance. Maybe turn them off during combat? :/

Other then that, curses lower opponents stat, prayers boost yours. Against higher level monsters, curses are usually more useful. In fact, sap/leech prayers might make Jad hit quite a bit less one you o_O

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

I'm trying prayers just for the sake of doing it.

NEW QUESTION: Just so I don't have to make a new thread, is there an average time of how long it takes to get 2.7m tokkul?

Maxed stats can get about 90k tokkul an hour so probably 60-70k with yours.

Those with a little bit of knowledge are more dangerous than those with none.

Curses would make any rounds with 360's and 180/90's annoying.

Every time you deflect some of the damage you get a animation delay. Its not noticeable on most bosses, but lags you when your running.

Its extremely annoying at DK's when running to supreme as the spins use range so range deflect=loads of delay/lag.

Curses are BETTER then prayers in EVERY way.

Yes your character might lag, but that is just the animation, you aren't really standing there. When I go DKing I often climb down a latter from across the room due to the lag.

The leech prayers are GODLY at jad. I was able to survive FOUR missed prayer attacks because he was so weakened.
