There is prabably over 300 times as many people who use handhelds than that play runescape. In fact you said waht like 2mil play? If that's right then I feel sorry for people who don't like this idea! You know it's to hard to find the facts once you've lost them but I assure you jagex would get rich, possibly at least 80 million people would be playing (I think they said 300 mill last time I read console sales of Nintendo DS). Yeah it'd not be a problem you want the dough? I want the game..i'm done with gaming now that winter is shorter..now that' in a junior, now that i'm a guitarits, i have work, i have love and not much time. Plus my dad just got back and I have family. So well i'd drift away from gaming anyways but as of now i quit cold turkey. It IS JUST SAD that trying to do a quest that should take maybe 1:30 cuz of complications that it takes like literaly ALL FRICKEN day . I know the trick let them play longer to pay longer. Well i'm not playing anymore. Account membership terminated. It makes me sad, but I have freedoms now you all cannot enjoy. Wow turns out i've come to chamnpion a cuase and instead have decided to freee myself :)

The DS has a free wireless wi-fi infrastructure, dont' know about PSP. By handle easely, I mean runescape graphics suck. I dont' really mind them but they'r enot the best. Stil it's good value for $5.00 a month. The PSP we all know is like a stupid playstaion right? duh. Maybe a ps2. The DS can handle nearly up to the gamecube, about 80% of teh way there at least. WHY IS IT A FRICKEN BAD IDEA BEFORE i KEEP SAYING STUFF? IT would take an mmorp and make it both a mmorp and a normal rpg which some people perfer more. IT would make a ton of money just because there are a ton of people who play only handhelds prabably more so than play just console and close to PC. November 6, 200520 yr there would be more lags on hand held systems then on a computer. anyway the DS only has a limited range for its wi-fi to work. It wold have to change to a diffrent network every few seconds. :roll:

Irs mmoorpg, too, since you obviously didn't know. Turning rs into an rpg would make cheating far easier, seeing as if youre not playing connected to the internet, how is Jagex going to catch autoing? Also, turning it into an rpg would completely kill the economy, seeing as there wouldnt be one.

You have been told this in many different ways. Why do you still try and convince us of things that just arent true. Of course theres less lag if you play alone, BUT RUNESCAPE IS A MMORPG, NOT A SOLO RPG. Having it an rpg makes training, mining, woodcutting, taking spawns, cleaning shops, and everything easier. Also eliminates all danger of the wilderness, making runecrafting very fast.

THE GAME REQUIRES AN INTERNET CONNECTION, IN ORDER TO INTERACT WITH OTHER PLAYERS, WHICH IS A MAJOR PART OF THE GAME.

November 7, 200520 yr Here is one of the main flaws with your plan: you said that this would be nice if you wanted to play alone; this would destroy the whole infrastructure of the game. For example: "oh, I want to make some quick money so I think that I will go mine coal in my own little world, then I will log back onto the multi-player part of the game and sell all of it....no competition for me! :roll: )

Let's go though this one problem at a time shall we! 1)No more friends's list coz you can't type OR it'll be a pain to type coz you gotta use that screen with all the letters on it and put in each letter individually! 2)How are you going to move? Unless they make it like poke'mon OR zelda style movement in four directions! 3)On a lesser point it would be difficult to interact with objects without a cursor-mouse
November 9, 200520 yr The biggest problem with turning RS into a handheld game is that it isn't a handheld genre. People playing hendhelds are not going to sit and mine ess or iron or coal for 700 hours, they want immediate gratification, storyline progression, and flashy, graphics-intensive combat. RS does not in any way, shape or form fit the console paradigm, and it never will, not even when the entire world becomes one huge, wireless ubernet. Now, what could be done is to make a more FF-like game that is based on RS, and employs a lot of the look and feel of RS. That would definitely work, otherwise FF would not be the massive success it has been, with over 10 games and offshoots. Suzanne Vegatokin rite wurx gud!
November 11, 200520 yr i know this idea sucks (and i think so too) but i just want to say, that for the DS, the included stylus could be used for movement and interaction. As for right-click options, possibly hold down one of the buttons while tapping the screen.
November 11, 200520 yr this is a terrible idea *playing on computer* time to make money better get some armour and head to get mine rune rocks hopefully no PKers and i hope the rocks are glowing. *playing on DS* WOW look at me mine rune this is so easy now i have 1k rune ore, its a shame i can't do heroes quest though. Your true character is what you are like when you believe there are no repercussions.
