Herblore help

Flair

Recommended Posts

Pretty simple really. I'm not really that familiar with Herblore, I got to 30 simple by making str pots, as I had loads of limp in the back from years ago and needed 25 for heroes. However, I'm getting to the point where I really could do with more pot boosts, so i'm deciding to lvl it. Whats the most efficent way of doing it? I dont have loads of goal, so really I'd need some method that would make some profit, or at least break even.

TY in advance :D

Cheap: Serum 207's

Fast but costly: Anything until you can make super energy pots, super energy pots to 74, range pots to 81, sara brews to 99.

Good luck :P

You picked the wrong time to level herblore...

The only way herblore can break you even, is if you have all the herbs required for level 60 already in bank.

If not, use MTK for herbs, kill chaos warriors near Yanille for herbs, and farm your own.

Then make the best pots you can. You might want to sell some on ge to earn some money back for more seconds/herbs.

Even Serum 207's is gonna cost money. Not the ash, but the herb required to make a pot.

You should really be in the mood to put money into herblore. Nowadays prices of herbs went through the roof. So leveling herblore is gonna cost you a cabbageload more.

sara brews to 99

is this really best? I've been doing extreme pots lately, since they give more experience per pot.

Sara brews uses only toadflax and crushed birdsnest, extreme pots need, for example, a super attack potion, and the herb for making it extreme.

Extremes are non-tradeable. Sara brews are, so you can earn back money for buying more herbs and seconds. In exp vs. gp ratio, it's better to use sara brews.

If you only look for exp, and don't care about cash, extremes are the one to go.

Serum 207's is still the cheapest effiecient way to train it.

Cleaning herbs can make profit but you first have to find a good herb to do so.

Sure, it's still the cheapest way, but he said: profit or break even.

And in these terms, his only shot can be cleaning herbs, the best he can.

I personally think it foolish to attempt to make money with herblore at your level; however, to "not" go broke leveling herblore, you really need to develop other skills that will give you the herbs and herbal seeds you need to level herblore. If you prefer skilling rather than combat, farming is an excellent way to gather herbs; however, you need a rather good thieving level just to get the seeds. If you prefer combat, then getting your slayer level up high enough to get the tasks that drop good seeds is the way to go. If you are a quester, then setting up the Kingdom of Miscellanis where you get herbs (and seeds from maples) is the way to go.

I think leveling herblore is a good goal. I just don't see how it can be done economically without leveling some of your other kills.

I am what I am! Acknowledging this is the beginning and my growth is yet to end!!

But you can also use the Extremes and Overloads to make the money back. And most people are going to make them to use them, so they get used up any way and you'll end up having to make more if you plan on using them any.
