Before learning how to enchant it to teleport to the Digsite you have to clean specimens and when you have a Clean Necklace you have to show it to an archeologist, right? Statisticly the average is 1 hour (example), but perhaps your just pure unlucky and have to spend 5 hours. (which could happen for like 0,0001% of the players, you could be that one..) After you start the Temple of Senntisten and Ali tells you to go talk to Dr. Nabanik, if you ask Ali for help in getting there he'll give you a digsite pendant. That's what he was talking about.
