Erm..paint is simple to use.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Graphic gale is another alternative..Pay to get the full version can unlock the GIf maker in the software.

I use paint, some limitations but it works for my style.

alot of actual pixel artist use paint, for the brushed pixels you need photoshop or something of the sort, other programs are gimp graphic gale paint shop pro

what are brushed pixels? in fact what is a brush? lol. i recently got photoshop CS and adobe illustrator, but i havnt had the time to figure out how to use them yet....are they any good for pixel drawings?

Agreed, no one is being forced to do art and starting art just for a quick profit won't work.
