Tomato
But it's true. People base the game entirely on its storyline. However, the multiplayer metagame requires so much more strategy. The mathematic formulas involved are amazing. Predicting your opponents actions is so important. People base their opinions on the game on the fact that you're not fighting with swords and armor, but you're fighting with cute little monsters. Competitive multiplayer Pokemon is intense. Building the perfect team is very difficult to do.

The narrow minded fools who probably hate Nintendo versus the people who look beyond the cutesy aesthetics.
ClassicNerd
I lost interest in Pokemon when I was like in grade 7. Used to spend all my money on cards then trade at school. I had the full set as well as Trainer's. Sold for like 600$ on E-bay :P
cupcake
The game is great and I think it is one of the best RPG game. A kiddies game?.. The animation and content are aim at kids. The merchandise explains a lot. Thats not the point. If the older audience are attract to it. It must have some sort of element that is appealing to them. Lets just say as long there are children and they have great ideas for pokemons. Pokemon will lives..And probably will become a classic that we all remember when we get old.
