November 12, 200520 yr Yes, again a movie topic for the "music and movie" forum. This one isn't that complicated though. My idea is that we pick a new movie every week and we all try to watch it. Then we try and set up a decent discussion about the movie, which not only covers "I liked the story" but will also look into further details such as the technical sides of the movie, the score, acting, atmosphere, details etc. Leave your name if you are interested, I'll make a complete list of people who want to participate in this per week. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
November 12, 200520 yr Go on then, im always up for watching something new. So long as its not some completely obscure european movie ill probs be able to get it from the rental place. :D Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. November 12, 200520 yr Author Go on then, im always up for watching something new. So long as its not some completely obscure european movie ill probs be able to get it from the rental place. :D Would be nice if we did try to see a "arthouse" title from time to time...But then it would be good if we'd start with the more 'mainstream' arthouse titles such as Goodbye Lenin!, Amelie, maybe a Von Trier etc. they're relativly easy to get. :) It would be very nice if we could keep up some variation in it, that we don't do a movie from the 90's every week, but that we also cover the older hollywood classics. November 12, 200520 yr Yeah Daan but you need to understand that arthouse is really hard to get hold of in England. We have Blockbuster rental places and thats it. We dont have independants like you do in NL. Stuff like Amelie is ok but just be prepared for some of ure chouces to get no other views than yourself ;) Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. November 12, 200520 yr I like the idea. How would we go about picking a movie each week? OT: You're just loving this new board eh PK? You are totally in your element. :P

How would we go about picking a movie each week? I was thinking about voting, or pick a random user from the discussion of the previous movie. Maybe we can appoint a select group of people with different tastes and some knowledge to set out monthly 'course', then change people every month or something. And once in a while we could link things to the director topics. I'm just giving out ideas, of course. What are you thinking of? OT: You're just loving this new board eh PK? You are totally in your element. Yea, I really like this new forum! Gonna be great! :D Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
November 12, 200520 yr Nice Idea, Loving this new section. Would be really great to have a real good discussion with everyone seeing the same movie in the same time frames so we all know what we are talking about
November 12, 200520 yr like a bookclub style thing! sounds sweetness. :D First and only pixel thinger I made.
November 12, 200520 yr No...Please not the arthouse...Blockbuster only has the most mainstream of the main. And I can't get across town I don't have my liscence :(.

And I can't get across town I don't have my liscence :(. :o You don't have movies such as Amelie and Good Bye Lenin! at blockbuster? We've got a very mainstream orientated blockbuster type of thing here called "Movie Max" and they even have those! Amele and GBL are very mainstream. November 12, 200520 yr I think a week is too small a time frame. Maybe fortnightly to monthly. If we get too much content in that time then perhaps cut it back to a week ;)

If we get too much content in that time then perhaps cut it back to a week ;) Yea, that would be good to start with, not too enthousiastic. Like a movie every two weeks or one a month. If it is a real succes and people want more we could always cut back to a week or something. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

I don't think everybody is going to get a movie in a week for a forum.
November 12, 200520 yr Author Yea, one a week might be too much. I'm very enthousiastic, and since I watch about 10+ movies a week myself, but not everybody sees that many movies. One each two weeks or one a month would be good to start with, I think. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
November 12, 200520 yr Author Should this start after the GME is over? :) That would be good, then we won't have a dosen things running at the same time. :) I think it would be great if we could have do things together, rather than individual, you know, get to know eachother a bit, make up something nice and friendly. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

December 16, 200520 yr Author Alright, we came to the conclusion that this would be good if the GME competition had ended. The competition has ended, Lord of the Rings has won the competition. So it seems right to give this topic a small bump. :) Shall I start making an OP for it? Or? Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
