Okay, so I really need to get members again before the next weekend, and I have a few options, one, I can wait until tomorrow, and just use my home phone, but the repercussions would be dealing with my parents about a $10.99 phone call, option 2 would be attempting to call from my phone at school, but the problem is I am having problems dialing out, let alone being able to call a 1 900 number, and finally my last option is paying by debit, but I cant seem to get it working, because apparently I do not have a CV number as stated and I also dont have certain things on my card that Jagex is asking for. I live in Ontario if that helps...

 

Any suggestions? I was thinking pay by cash, but like it would take to long... So yeah I'm open to suggestions

I'm pretty much in the same situation, I don't like paying by phone since it is much more expensive, and was unable to pay by debit, I tried to but they needed all the info listed on a credit card which isn't found on debit card (expiry, cv, etc.) I also live in Ontario.

I don't know one Canadian bank that you can pay from....

 

I'd pay by phone and give 11$ to my parents, while waiting for a better lonf-term solution.

 

I believe you can also pay by paypal, so you might wanna look into that.

Before I got a credit card I would go to a grocery store (Giant Eagle, Walmart etc...) and buy prepaid visa gift cards. You have to pay the same amount as if you were paying with a regular credit card, the only downside is that there is usually some sort of activation fee. Still, better then paying $11 per month by phone and you can use it for more then 1 months membership.

The info they are asking for isn't located on most foreign debit bank cards. I know mine (i live in the States) has the same info as a Credit card would. Your best bet would be to try and get to a store or something and buy either a RS card or a ultimate gamer card or even a reload-able card.

 

Also i think it may be something to do with Canadian debit card as i have helped with this about 2-3 times before. If you also have a Cell Phone, or know someone that does (and tbh how do you not know someone) and just use it to pay by SMS. Its cheaper then by doing it through the phone but it goes to you phone bill instead.

There a couple options you can take to pay with your debit card. You can link your debit card checking or savings accounts to a Paypal account, and then pay membership VIA PayPal. I've done it a couple times. Another method you can take are buying gift credit cards with your debit card, which are buyable at many locations, then using that gift credit card as if it were a credit card on the Runescape website. Yet another method is buying Runescape cards, which are available at certain Universities and *maybe* some stores, not sure. I go to the University of Toronto and they have some there, which means I also live in Ontario :mrgreen:

Aha I see, well I live in Toronto, I go to the university of guelph, but I DO take a bus that ends at York University, maybe I can find something there, do you know any specific stores?

I just linked by debit card to paypal then pay via the paypal option. It adds an extra step, but you can do it all online in a matter of minutes.

Like it has been said before the best way would be to link your debit card to paypal

and pay via paypal
