Vyrewatch Cremation Rewards

I sent in an addition to the information (under Notes) on the Adam Platelegs (t) going on three weeks ago, and on the Saradomin Plateskirt almost a week ago, and nothing has been done about either one. They can both be acquired as a reward for Vyrewatch Cremation, not just as Treasure Trail rewards, which is what I put as the addition/correction.

 

About two weeks ago, I also sent a Notes addition to the Ivandis Flail, as I've noticed that attack and strength potions have absolutely no effect on hit percentage and damage; I hit at the same rate and for a maximum of 25 (now 250) damage both while potted and unpotted.

 

I'm just curious when someone is going to get around to updating the information on these three items.

If and when I get another one, I can. I'm currently doing another vyrewatch run, got 209 pyred magic logs to waste on them.

 

Though, I'm not entirely sure how a picture would be any real confirmation. For all anyone knows, I could easily buy the item in question, go stand in the Columbarium with some other random stuff people know can be found there and some Columbarium keys, and take a screenshot of that.

In regards to your first inquiry (about Adam platelegs (t)) -- Crewbie Warriormonkx posted a reply in the correction topic you created, asking:

For the Adam platelegs and Saradomin plateskirt entries both, we would really appreciate it if you could provide confirmation pictures for these items -- to our knowledge, these items are only obtainable via Treasure Trail rewards. If it turns out that you are able to gain these items via other methods, we would be more than happy to edit the entries for them and give you credit for your help! :)

 

 

In regards to the Ivandis flail correction -- as it stands, I am not seeing any record of your correction submission. Is this something you posted in a topic on Tip.It Forums, or via the "Submit Correction" link in the item database entry for it? If you posted a topic on the forums, could you please provide us with the link to your topic? At the moment I am unable to find it within the Website Updates and Corrections forum.

 

 

Jagex has released several large updates within these past few weeks, and we've all been very busy trying to keep up with them! :P We value your patience, and hope you understand that we aren't ignoring your submissions, it may just take us a bit longer than usual to get to them with our increased workload.

Regarding picture confirmation... as I posted in the other topic, if I manage to get another one of either, or something else that is currently known to be found in only one place, I'll take a picture of it. Though, as I mentioned already, I'm not really sure how a picture can be considered confirmation, as they can easily be fabricated.

After all, I submitted a correction about the Blue Dye Bellows being mis-categorized as an equippable item (I think it was placed under 'Body' before, but I can't remember rightly), and it was fixed within a day or two.

A lot of times we'll get submissions taken care of rather quickly, but as of late, as SerpentEye said, we've been kind of busy, however I'm unable to find any records of your Ivandis Flail submission as well, if you would submit it again, we can take another look at it.

 

As far as the picture confirmation, most people won't go through all the trouble to fabricate fake evidence just to throw us off, it's a little more work than necessary for most.

That's good to know that you don't get much in the ways of fake evidence... you guys don't need to have to waste time disproving false information and reports. Alas, I was unable to get any of 'rare' items from my batch of 210 vyrewatch corpses, but I'll go another round here in the near future.

 

And I'll resubmit what I've found about the Ivandis Flail. ^.^

I apologize for the wait. I ended up getting busy the night I was originally going to test this, and then kept getting busy further on down the road!

 

However, I finally tested out some things. So, even with near maxed out strength bonus, Super potions (didn't want to waste Extremes), and Piety, I wasn't able to get over 250 damage with the flail (not upgraded at all). This was against Vampyre Juvinates and Vyrewatch. However, I was able to hit higher damage (~300) on other monsters with the same setup. So I've added this in and credited you!

 

And, the max hit will increase as you cremate Vyrewatch corpses (every 50), so if you continue, you'll be hitting higher damage :) But this only applies to Vampyre Juvinates and Vyrewatch, of course.

Quite alright, no apology is necessary. ^.^

 

I've cremated nearly a thousand Vyrewatch so far (to get the extra firemaking and prayer xp, along with the rather good 'drops'), and I was hitting 250 at maximum well past the 500 corpse mark, both with and without strength-boosting potions.

 

And, yes, I will definitely take a picture of anything I get that isn't already known as a reward for Vyrewatch cremation. I'd originally planned on stopping on that last batch of 210 I did, but this is more than enough to keep me at it.

I used to do those things all the time. Perhaps there was an update or change...to accuracy instead of damage?

 

It's just speculation on my part, but how often do you hit those 250s? Are your 'non-250' hits high or low? I'm going down there soon to get another 50 or so (I've got a "fully-upgraded" Ivandis flail myself, not that it might matter anymore!).

 

Also, has anyone posted on this in the RSOF? I'm intrigued. I think there is a crew member that worked a lot on the latest update to the guide here on Tip.It and used some of my data...so perhaps that crewbie will see it.

Hello, Juhniz.

 

I will be honest, that is exactly what it seemed like, especially when you take into consideration the fact that several other corrections were made elsewhere, and it seemed like no one was even looking here.

 

I know that there are other rewards known previously to be available only through treasure trails, such as Adam Plate Legs (t), Black Full Helm (g), Black Platelegs (g), and Saradomin Plateskirt, so I will be doing more Vyrewatch Cremation in order to try and get screen shots of those items.

 

On a side note, I created a topic on the RSOF in regards to the Ivandis Flail and its upgrades a while back, but I have yet to get any real information about what the upgrades actually are. None of the JMods or other Jagex staff have posted anything, only two Forum Mods with more speculations.

Well, I'm collecting more vyrewatch corpses for another round of cremation. I bought a thousand magic logs and sacred oil (4) each, though I'm going to cremate the corpses in two batches.

 

 

EDIT: Well, [cabbage]. Nothing worth mentioning from that batch, though I did get 26 blood talismans out of it.
