April 17, 201016 yr Sometimes a band approaches the apocalypse in an unoriginal way though. You're bound to have the guys that go "[bleep] yeah METAL! Let's go sing about the end of the world!" and come up with cliched crap that isn't satisfying to listen to. I think that would be an indicator of bad music though. Bands/artists that stick to a formula that others have used without being creative about it. Not just limited to lyrics, of course... April 19, 201016 yr Bad music? There is no such thing in my opinion. There is music I don't like, but I don't think it's bad, just not my taste. I hate the elitism that rages across the entire music spectrum, specifically in metal I find. April 19, 201016 yr Bulls*** elitism is the worst kind. That's where people unironically pretend to hate things and look down on others to seem cool. Most elitists would just say that something sucks and what they like is better, but these guys take it to a whole new level. Usually done in the indie scene to boost one's hipster cred.
