You could build a STL ship, I estimated it would take at least 50 years using a laser on Earth and a magnetic sail to slow down on reaching Alpha Centuri.Since the star map is different from the real map, the closest star is Sirius, which is 5 units away. If we assume that 1 unit is 10 years at STL then it will still take 50 years, but we have a system in place.Only a suggest currently, if anyone has a different system. Yeah, alright(Arcturus). You will need to discover Zero-point energy, which will require an advanced understanding of the universe, which will only be made possible by travelling to a Geocore, a Solar Core and a Galactic Core. Then you will need a containment field, which will require advanced particle theory, which will require atomic creation, you will also need forcefields to a very high level. You will then need to discover sub-space, which will require FTL research of one type or another, followed by the development of a Space-Sub-Space bridge, which will probably be a wonder of some sort. You will then need to establish a colony within Sub-Space(Which will act as an area which you are sucking energy out of, to prevent someone claiming the whole of subspace).After all that I think you will be ready to start the research. If not then I pourpose that no empire can be fully destroyed (except by votekick (as we did with Hex)), only rendered incapable of military actions for a real-life month or so, and that research might be done during such a time. Also add an own thread for minor interaction within the game in the form of RP? Like onboard exploration and scientific vessels traveling to new places. Also glad you like the simulator, I couldn't even figgure out how to send an asteroid at Mars... at least I don't think so, but it soon hit the sun (I was using pre-made Sol system). There is no way I am designing new systems on there...and the numbers and all that Jazz will not be well recieved by most people. Further point....Why? Ok, we can work out how long it will take for a spaceship to get from one planet to another...We can plan interceptions more accurately....BUT PEOPLE DON'T WANT THAT! Can you honestly imagine Dusty or Rocco sitting down in front of the screen and planning their course? Can you imagine me doing that? The land is a small correlation to how much money you earn from the biodomes, BTW, I only own so much cause it was easier to split up that little island. You all will still earn money from each biodome when I work out how much each. Rules: No weapons were carried on the ship EVERYONE was checked.Weapon shipments to each respective land will be checked by Indian officials, they will then state what the weapons are for.Earth wars will not effect Mars so you can't attack Indian biodomes cause you want part of the land cause your at war with another country, E.G lets say Trol was at war with Ross, he will not be permitted to attack Ross on Mars. No other rules needed.
