Hegemony

Because I can spend more time gathering? Also the keyword is outpost in this. I will be using several of these (along with massive freighter/production ships) at planets like pluto to mine asteroids that will be brought to me by... ships with a small armament that work as tugboats.

Yes, everyone please spend billions and trillions on space ships while I spend my money on naval ships, aircraft, and tanks.

I'm doing both dusty :) Also these ships have the potential for a great profit...

Hey guys, you realize it would be cheaper to say, build a matter gate on the moon or in a production station, than to spend trillions on a space elevator?

Good point :P I may very well help fund your matter gates project doom

South Africa joins the Space Elevator wonder to subtract time.

Matter gates "Only works in Earth or in Orbit of Earth."

Well navies, tanks and airforces have been free for some time now, all it cost is deployment.

Oh. Well then.

I start building 400 new naval ships, 80,000 tanks, and 20,000 combat aircraft.

It's going to cost you quite a bit to deploy them :P

EDIT: Snubbe it's quite an easy way to get things into orbit

Yeah, and the space elevator is only on earth, to the orbit of earth. Not sure about the rules, but I could probably build a matter gate on the moon. If not, atleast in orbit.

The United Lunar States of America asks their former and hopefully future ally France to donate a small tranportation ship (for maybe fifty people), in order to use it as transport for emisarries and diplomats.

That being said, (this is if there's no objection), I continue research on whatever space flight stuff I had before. (Basically I said I was putting money into spaceflight, but I didn't know how long we were setting for it to be completed, because we hadn't exactly planned that)

Can you reliably block a matter gate?

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

Yes you can (it involves blowing it up :P)

Oh so we get infinite everything? Just as long as we can afford to say we have it, we have it.

Oh this could end very well or just horribly.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Fresh slate and all....Can you send me a map of your area as soon as, thanks.

Don't build one....They need two to operate so, don't build one...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Well the game is supposed to be played reasonably, but when people stop acting reasonably, then it pays to have an insurance policy.

You could probably research some way to ensure that you knew what was coming through. Personally, I would build my gate underground or something, so that if an enemy came through, it would be simple to seal.

Wait, so you don't even need to BUILD THEM?

So who's joining the matter gates project? Even if not donating.

I am getting a vague sense of deja vu.... No Dusty you don't NEED to build them, you are supposed to but there is very little stopping you from just declaring that you have build a bazzilion units in secret.

Of course I would probably cotton on if you said a bazzilion and trip them over a cliff or something, but in principle you could.

Projects Fortress and Kattegat begin. The construction work in the Baltic has been named Project Underground.

Area 7: Dixieland

Me! Grim, I will make the moon a neutral territory, and build a matter gate for it, so you don't need to build one. Basically the rule is that you can't bring an army of soldiers, or bioweapons. Other than that, it's pretty simple.

Also, requesting aid missions and lump sum donations pwease. Also, is there a country small enough that I can give aid missiosn to it?

Oh yes, promise that to Grim...the one person who nuked Haven (the sole neutral territory in the entire game) during the first Hegemony.
