So what do the numbers mean exactly? And I was meaning more nanotubes/nanofibre in general, and I used them interchangeably in posts from then on, if that matters.

How come it says I don't have railguns :S? I did railguns, I'm currently doing rapid fire ones though.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Cause you didn't tell me on the last page

Anywho:

Numbers:

Genetics: 1 (3)+

1 is current level, this doesn't make alot of difference unless you are competing with someone....Ie Gentically engineering a virus, vs genetically engineering a vaccine.

(3) is how many years till the next level

+ means the research is currently under development.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

So why is the number 1, if I've had it going since atleast the 26th provably?

Actually genetics was since the first post, 12th.

Basically Genetic research took 17 years to reach level 1, and is taking 19 years to reach level 2. We have been playing for 33 years, so, you have completed 33 years out of the total 36, thus you have 3 years remaining.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Oh, ok, I was thinking it was 3 years for each level of research, not 3 years left. I get it now.

How long does it take to get nanotubes to level 2?

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Oh I see

Ook thanks, research begins on that 1/10.

Also whens the next update coming through, just sent my entire research list to you.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

Hey, maybe you should add a stat system?

Nanotubes will get progressively stronger and smaller instead of just assuming that ones generically better - how much better?

Well I had nanotubes level 1 I thought, cause I researched them, but I only took 5 years, so I guess I have an extra 5 years to go then.

1/5.

Ding dong the hex is gone.

I did have something relevant to post, but I forgot what it is.

France starts projects nucleus (15 years) Condor (15 years) and Falcon (10 years) as well as ongoing research upon hydroponics and a 75 year project on nuclear fusion. 50 billion is sent over to begin the annexation of Germany and 200 billion is used to rebuild the military. Half of the rest goes to infrastructure (the final bit is stored).

EDIT: My national anthem is la marseillaise

Heh time for an update

Unnamed wonder: 500 billion dollars

ARCHIVE I: 26/50

ARCHIVE II:26/60

ARCHIVE III: 24/50

Project Final Frontier: 24/25

Project nuceus V2: 1/15

Project Retrofit: 8/10

Fusion: 28/75

Hydroponics: Ongoing

As everyone seems to be doing it I am starting a 15 year research project on carbon nanotubules

This is what I found:

Started researching exosuits on the 5th of May.

South Africa starts researching newer and better tanks and aircraft and nanotechnology to aid the military. 2nd of May.

better amour and weapons for the military. 3rd of May.

Also, another project is started which is general enhancement of Crisis suits.

2Xeo5.png

Oh right. Didn't actually think I said that I was continuing it, so I just wanted to make sure.

I'm not voting for any of the other options because they're completely asinine. I don't see why we would have to make all projects a uniform cost of 5 billion each. At least put a better option that says something like "whatever is reasonable".

Yeah, because that is easy for me to keep track of, what with budgets that people reorganise daily....Don't post, say the thought about it a few days ago and therefore are exempt....Or whatever other excuse they cook up.

I don't want to try to work out what 5 million a year means for a project that takes 8 years to complete....With no standard mechanism.

If we say that more money equals faster research then it means more hassle for me, trying to work out of 40/67ths of 50,343 is. As well as getting screamed at by all the poor countries that it is a money throwing competition.

If I say there is a uniform cost then all the rich people scream at me because they can't throw money at it.

And if there is no cost then people scream at me for for Ico's massive research list, and people just research everything.

So, since having a uniform cost only has the rich countries scream at me, and doesn't have any negative effects for the game, its the best way forward.

If you don't want the system then say it is free, since the other option is not going to happen.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

How about this, we have two options. One is (for ex) 25b a decade, at normal speed of research. The other is 50b a year, at 50% higher speed of research. You can't change how much money you're putting into it after you commit, until the next decade.
