dragon bones

It takes alot of bones to training prayer.

Even with all the dragons on every world full/busy pretty much 24/7 the slow rate at whcih drags die means demand far outstrips supply; factor in the factor prayer is now usefull well into the 90s so ppl r trianing it further.

It all makes sense; however as bone crusher spreads and becomes more common place bone prices are likely to slide a bit.

Due to the release of curses ( after Temple of Sennisten quest) the original prayer book became obsolite thank to Soul Split, Turmoil, and Leech prayers. This caused a HUGE spike in dragon bone prices making it more expensive to work on prayer.

Off Topic:

This also applys to the release of extreme's/overloads herb prices have also sky rocketed.

Bonecrusher will have minimal impact on the price of dragon bones. Expect them to continue rising.

I expect it will make them slide slighty.

It is a fairly low level, easy to acquire item, which can then be used in all bar dragon combat really to gain prayer xp.

Factor this in for newer players especially and odds are overall you are going to knock 1mil xp off of getting 99 prayer (if not more), which means lowered demand for bones. Not a huge impact, but an impact none the less

Most "newer" players aren't going to have bonecrushers, though. 1mil XP is kind of a ridiculous estimation... that's 250,000 normal monsters killed or about 14k dragons.

Herby is generally more useful then prayer (IMO, but not for pvp) so I don't see d bones getting over 25 gp/exp.

Use ecto if you're a tightass that doesn't value time.

Drops: Black Mask.

Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.

I feel that bonecrusher will barely touch prices. You can see that when it was first released it caused a scare, but after seeing that it would take such a huge number of monsters in order to get a large amount of experience the scare faded. We might even be getting a 20% range pray bonus with Dungeoneering Batch 2. In my opinion, bones will rise unless a future update makes them or prayer experience easier to acquire.

Why would you waste an invy slot for an item that gives only minimal exp per task? Sure, you could say it all adds up, but an extra spec restore or prayer pot would be far more useful and its benefits will add up far faster.

They won't make much difference in terms of actual XP gained, but people are probably thinking that it will have an impact.

so true.

Happens all the time, item x is worth 10m and starts crashing. Despite the fact that it will obviously never reach 1m, people begin selling it for 500k-1m out of fear, lowering the price further.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

Current best prayer for facing off against people over 42 combats requires 95 prayer. And when facing someone with higher combats(80+) you have a good chance of wiping the floor with them even without wearing a plate + legs. Thus making 95 prayer unbelievably useful.

Thus is why so many high levels are dumping money into prayer.

I really think they need to buff the bonecrusher in light of this. Prayer xp is getting more and more prohibitively expensive to train. They should:

-Reduce the price even further

-Affects bones that automatically appear in inventory (IE Hunter)

-Give a little multiplier to all bones that get buried with the crusher

The extent the last one could work maybe something like "gives 3x multiplier, but does no work dragon bones and above". That would actually give it quite a bit more use and keep it up in line for usefulness.
