Leyenda
If hitpoints have become constitution and have been multiplied by 10, why hasn't prayer been multiplied by 10 as well? I thought that prayer drained in tenths, so wouldn't it make sense to show the player's actual point count? As to the reasoning behind it I haven't a clue. The rational for changing HP to Constitution would be just as suitable with prayer. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying. Smapla
it should also apply to summoning... but if we changed these things, we'd be left with possibilities like going through to godwars, your prayer is lowered to 94 from 95, and you can't use turmoil. or what if you have a steel titan summoned and you drop below 99 summoning? does it vanish? Ellac
Jagex said they changed Hitpoints to Constitution so that when new players started and were training combat, enemies had a chance at hitter lower than 1/10th of your total hitpoints. Before the update if somebody with 10 Hp were fighting a level 2 man for example, the man would be able to hit a 1 or a 0. Now they can hit 0-10, giving the person a higher chance of surviving. They also said that update was so they could have a constitution requirement for quests. I don't see how this could work with prayer. :-? Thanks to Iglw for the amazing signature! Mazhar
Be glad it doesn't, flashing would be impossible if it was changed.

Currently I think only snow and desiese will do this to you, but they were thinking along the lines of something like a special weapon that does this, or some such. Will H
I agree it should be changed as to why it hasnt, this game is filled with inconsistencies so it only makes sense for jagex to be inconsistent about this tooSurely it would make more sense if they were inconsistently inconsistent? The change you suggested might well happen, it would after all eliminate prayer flashing, but I think Jagex are planning to put out Constitution boosters/damagers first. The thought of a 'weapon' which slowly impedes your ability to heal instead of dealing direct damage is a slightly terrifying thought. Suddenly you're going to have to consider a balance of restoration potions and food to heal, which makes combat a bit more complicated and interesting. On the other hand, you could come up with NPCs/weapons that reduce your, er, 'Prayer Point' skill instead of just draining prayer points themselves. Making the separation is potentially a good idea. ~ W ~
