Bassy
Howdy, I'm about to get 99 Fishing off Rocktails in the Living Caverns. I've never used a theme world or anything, because all the spawns I regular can be trapped. I did a test with Concentrated Coal today, and it appears as if I might need some better armour than my current outfit of Agile legs and Black D'hide body. So, are there any recommended armour to wear whilst mining in the Living Caverns? Should I go pie the Barbarian course for the Agile top? thunderlord
I'm not sure if agile armor is needed, because when i mine there I can easily run to the bank and back without even using half my run energy.I wear: dharok pbody, verac pskirt, d boots, fury and granite shield. Shelby_Polo
As long as you have a Enhanced Excalibur in your invo, and you're moderately careful you will not need much armor. But, if you have it, I find a aglie top + bandos tassets make a good combo; or visa versa. (Or even barrows/rune instead of bandos) Suggest a poll for Tip.it - Here! Ruggig
Rune and helm of neit and bss/ss/obby/granite/dfs with EE equipped and boots of lightness+spottier cape and penance gloves? :3 #t0 #ce #teamsweden #se @swiftirc#clan_europe @Quakenet
ultimatballr
I use: Nietz Helm, Untrimmed Def Cape, Glory Ammy, Rune Plate, Granite Shield, Dragon Skirt, Barrow Gloves, and Dragon Boots. With 99 defence, it seems to work for me, I barely take damage. But then again I also use the gold mining world (84) so there are lots of other people that get attacked. Apparently, my signature was to big.
Miller7204
I use guthans, that way I can heal on a monster if i need to. I know it's kind of a waste, but I think it's a good tactic. MY CAPES! Dragon drops: Draconic Visage, Dragon Plateskirt, Dragon Med Helm, Dragon PlatelegsOther drops: Dragon Chainbody Loot↓↓ Verac's flail, Verac's skirt x2, Guthan's platebody x2, Guthan's warspear x3, Dharok's helm x2, Ahrim's hood, Ahrim's robeskirt, Torag's platelegs, Karil's top, Karil's skirt, Karil's crossbow x2
Grimy_Bunyip
always wear your varrock platebody while mining at living rocks. it gives you a small chance of mining an extra ore, which stacks with the possibility of extra ores from concentrated rocks.meaning with a varrock platebody, you can mine up to 3 ores in a single swing. and of course, if you mine the extra ore, you get xp for the extra ore. Low C
I find going to world 84 to be more leisurely, but if you lag too much with all the people around then just wear varrack armour, tassets/vskirt, and basic defensive armour.
Bassy
Would the weight of those heavy armours like Granite and Barrows (I'm considering Bandos an option) affect my run energy that much for the xp rates? Seems like we could use a good guide on those. I'll go look on Youtube. Thanks for the suggestions so far, let's see more! Click Here for a Common Sense Dungeoneering Guide
Low C
With the new run energy updates it really won't affect you much since you're running a short distance every so many minutes to bank. I would suggest a mixture of lightness and defensive armours. Maybe agile leggings and varrock armour or barrows. Also penance gloves and a spottier cape would benefit you if your agility can't keep up with all the running.
