Obtaurian
There's a pretty significant difference between Piety and Turmoil, but the biggest upside to Turmoil is that you have access to the other curses, too, IMO. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
Sinkhan
In boosting yourself it's a tiny bit better; in some cases it's actually worse. The big thing is that it drains your opponents offensive capabilities, most noticeably lowering their max hit and increasing your chances to hit. Zephy
It comes with soul split, too. Great healing source in many settings. Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate.

Aiel
Turmoil is 1 per 2 seconds Piety is 2 per 3 seconds ^^^it depends on prayer bonus, but yes turmoil is slower. bedman
Like others have said, it IS significant boost over piety. Pair this with the slower drain rate and the access to soul split, which is easily flashable, and you are a hard hitting beast with infinite health. SW cape is also an excellent addition to make turmoil even more worthwhile. Giving up 4 str bonus for 12 prayer is a very good deal IMO. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h! L0rdAki
Fire cape has 1 str last time I checked... Unless it was buffed. Turmoil is about as good as extremes. Supers are to extremes as piety is to turmoil. Like high herb, high prayer has side benefits, like soul split and other things. If you're thinking about it, get it. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.

You are giving up 4 strength, +1 all attack stats and +3 all defense stats for 10 prayer. Remember the firecape has 2 prayer as well. Fire cape has 1 str last time I checked... Unless it was buffed. L0rdAki
I'm sorry, is there a problem? I just checked the wiki, and It indeed says +4 str and +2 prayer. I distinctly remember +1 prayer and str sometime along the line. Forgive me for not being as knowledgeable as you. Drops: Black Mask.Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.
