Training range on f2p

I never thought I'd find myself posting in the rants section, but coming back from a 6 month hiatus and finding this update has really made me rage.

 

 

So I finished up my last 20k bronze arrows on my tank and decide to buy more. I'm out ready to shell some mad gp for that 99 range. (not too mad, irons are too expensive for my liking)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Much to my surprise there's a 1k limit at the shop. Well I buy them up and hop worlds to buy more like back in the old days. Ok well you gotta do what you gotta do.

 

0 stock. 0 stock. 0 stock. 0 stock. 0 stock. 1 stock.

O well, I'll just put in the ge for 100k bronze arrows at max. 2 days later, 1k arrows. Not even enough to last me an hour.

Guess I'll just max constitution instead of range then. I mean, we can just make our own arrows. O wait, this is f2p.

Not much to say. Most members don't fletch bronze arrows, very few monsters drop them in any quantity, and thus there isn't a huge supply. Just hope that you get lucky and can get your arrows soon. Good luck.

Not much to say. Most members don't fletch bronze arrows, very few monsters drop them in any quantity, and thus there isn't a huge supply. Just hope that you get lucky and can get your arrows soon. Good luck.

I'll just wait until my order is filled I guess or just pony up the gp for the irons, if they're even available.

They don't actually. They drop them often but in small quantities. Easier just to skill and make gp for irons.

 

 

 

I'm not on a crusade here against jagex. What's done is done, though I'm rather disappointed.

This is another reason why Fletching should become a F2P skill. MOAR ARROWZ SUPPLY IN GE PLZ.

 

Also, you can "profit" iron arrows if you range minotaurs, so no, the amounts aren't small.

 

I always end up with ~500 more iron arrows than what I started with every trip to these guys.

You may also want to try buying iron arrows in the GE. If you'll notice, a bar of bronze is worth more than a bar of iron. So of course no one makes bronze arrows.

thats what i would do but around 60 range you start killing them so fast there's no room for multitasking. i kill moss giants at 84 range and it gives me enough time between mossies to surf the web or tip.it. Now is that the best way to train range effectively and efficiently, gawd no but it keeps me from melting, which in this 100 degree weather here it could possibly happen

Well, you dont really need to buy all your arrows in one ridiculously huge stack, why dont you just buy them in 2-3k bunches then go sell the loots from monster drops in between? That way you can buy reasonably strong arrows and still profit depending on what you kill.

What's with the missing skill? As far as I know, ranged is pretty much limited in F2P. Our source of arrows? Members. Our source of green d'hide? Members. And yet we can make full rune in F2P, make almost the required runes in F2P.

Bronze knives and bronze arrows were more expensive in the GE. You could go to shops and buy unlimited for slightly cheaper. I'm just trying to comprehend how rich I'd be right now if I invested all my gp in bronze knives..

 

I don't pick up my arrows so bronze is ideal. 1 iron arrow costs the same as 3 bronze arrows. I'll take the bronze.

Just going to post the biggest most recent example:

Constitution (self explanitory really, but assuming people have my common sense will land me getting flamed tbh.)

 

Useless update that still pisses me off to this day.

 

10 year olds love big numbers. Do we need more 10 year olds playing runescape? No.

 

Jagex stated that they would put some new stuff in with new hp, hasent happened yet. If you are going to change something, at least make it better, not worse.
