Laura
like how fast of a processor would i need to play runescape with no lag, i plan on doing nothing on this laptop except runescape. The processors in laptops these days should be the least of your worries (for Runescape, at least). For a better Runescape performance a dedicated GPU is what you are looking for.

It's probably just listed under 'Graphics'. Runescape is practically famous for running on pretty much anything. ~ W ~

Sbrideau
None of those two. Celeron and Pentium are very outdated as CPUs. Plus the GPUs aren't dedicated ones.
Skeptical
My HP G60 works quite well for RuneScape, and a heck of a lot more. I got it for 600, but that was a year ago, and with an employee discount.....http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do;HHOJSID=HVJsL25RPg8QpqcsLNrT6MYP93Dzkh27TbnHWS2Jv6dFwVJsgx1M!429704516?storeName=computer_store&category=notebooks&a1=Category&v1=+Everyday+computing&series_name=G60t_series&jumpid=in_R329_prodexp/hhoslp/psg/notebooks/_Everyday_computing/G60t_series Compaq is cheaper, but I'd choose the HP over it anyday. If you're planning to play in lowest possible settings, then it may suffice.Playing on the lowest possible settings, my Dell Latitude C610 suffices. I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a dedicated graphics processor in a new laptop for less than about $600, but I've been wrong before. Thanks for pointing out that it's dollars >.< in that case I'd probably say that's one of the better laptops you can get for under $500. POH Agility Course, Please Support! Sbrideau
Anything that is Nvidia or Ati is good enough for RS, Intel graphics you're going to have to play at the lowest settings.
Expl0de
That is integrated. If you're planning to play in lowest possible settings, then it may suffice. Yep, integrated GPUs are just awful for any game. OP, do you really NEED a laptop? Many laptop users never actually move their laptop anywhere; they'd be better off getting a desktop. For $600 you can get a decent PC with a large LCD, comfortable keyboard and mouse (no trackpad, woot!), and better performance. So see if you actually NEED the portability of a laptop.
